Re: anzac medal
I'm not sure a CHF can play a better game? In slippery conditions???
That's bizarre ..... Hannebury wasn't even their best IMO.

Re: anzac medal
If it works the same as the Anzac Medal in the MCG game then it isn't awarded to the best player on the ground. It is awarded to the player who best represents the ANZAC spirit and generally to a player on the winning team. Dan was hard at it all day and played for the winning side. He's as tough as they come, worthy winner.
obviously if we pinched the game then Roo would have won it

Re: anzac medal
What does the result have to do with individual games.
Without Roo we would lost by 10 goals, perhaps not scored?
He was BOG by 20%
If Collingwood won the drawn GF by a point... Who would have been BOG?

Hannerberry was BOG
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.
Re: anzac medal
You must struggle to read. The medal isn't for the best player on the ground. And yes, generally medals go to a player on the winning sideBigMart wrote:What does the result have to do with individual games.

In your opinion maybe. Roo could have gone off at 3 qtr time and still been BOG.magnifisaint wrote:Hannerberry was BOG

Re: anzac medal
apparently Hannerberry and Parker tied on six
Roo on 5
One voter (Wayne Schwass) did not give Roo a vote in a 3-2-1
Hannerberry was chosen a deciding vote.......do not know who that person was.

Re: anzac medal
Assessing it now I thought Parker deserved it more than Hanneberry with 2 goals and 25 touches.
But seriously - I hardly noticed Hanneberry?! Roo was everywhere. Really like Watters playing roo around the ground, perhaps trying to see the forward line 'life after roo'!

In the true spirit the bloody medal should go to the gutsiest player on the losing team. That was roo!

Re: anzac medal
Schwass used to play for Shitney. It does look quite ridiculous when a player is obviously in the top 3 on the ground but doesn't get a vote from a particular voter. Gram in 09 was the same, some dick head didn't even have him in the votes which cost him the NSchook23 wrote:apparently Hannerberry and Parker tied on six

Re: anzac medal
Cordy is a swans fan as is Schwass. I have been at a mates house when Cordy came round to watch the swans play in their colours. This guys dad played for the Swans in the old days and has mates round to watch them packed with melbourne based swans fans. He is definitely not impartial- big fan. I played basket ball against him too and he was a massive c**k head.
Schwass is an arse sucking swans fan- like Hall he's pro Sydney over his other club.
