Did you notice Milney in that fight.. he doesnt take a backwards step but he was fighting off 3 of the drugtaking buffoons. We can still get up from here. I dont know why Armo kept trying to go for riewoldt all the time though

Re: Match Day thread + late changes
I'd like to see us come out and send a message at the first bounce ala Powell vs Ling. Not sure we had bodies for that though....only Lenny.
Gehrig emerged from scans yesterday saying he was "as sweet as a bun"

Re: Match Day thread + late changes
Dropping two medium height players and playing a small arse forward line sure was a good move SW - NOT!!! They have not touched it and, apart from Milne are as week as piss.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Wheres the intensity, roos last goal he just jogged and lazy hi 5. I get you're tired but a sense of belief goes a long way in this game. Looked like the celebration from a junk time goal

Top 7 possession getters bombers, not a good sign. For those who have vision are we in any way a chance or completely outclassed?
Maybe this year?
Re: Match Day thread + late changes
when has Dal Santo ever beaten a tagger?
When has Roo ever kicked straight and rewarded hard work?
When has Saad, Milera and Milne worked hard both ways?

Re: Match Day thread + late changes
Four small forwards that can't play midfield. Good plan watters you dill. Getting smashed because of that very reason. Can't afford to have 3 let alone 4 soft players in our forward line

let the young guys come in and play in the small forward roles, at least they can push up and get some ball in the middle or lay a tackle.
Milera is soft

The screen seems full of Bomber jumpers. Our only hope is they run out of legs, but it doesn't look like it.rexy wrote:Top 7 possession getters bombers, not a good sign. For those who have vision are we in any way a chance or completely outclassed?

Re: Match Day thread + late changes
quick thoughts
positives - G Geary is a gun. Our best player easily. Jack, Roo, Fisher and Wilkes certainly having a fair crack at least.
negatives - lack of defensive game. bruise free footy. giving it up in the centre and corridor too easily putting our backs under pressure. no forward pressure once they get the ball. no lock in fwd 50 mentality AT ALL. gilbo poor under pressure. nds too quiet. simpkin having a nightmare (not really his fault though). roberton not doing his job today.
Lay a fricking tackle saints!

Re: Match Day thread + late changes
yeah that is annoying
Riewoldt shot at goal...behind
I hate these burst of energy into our forwardline for no reward

Re: Match Day thread + late changes
Just bombing it into the forward 50 is useless because Roo can't mark over his head, only ever goes on the chest and is beaten one on one way to often, can only park out in front on the lead.
Cant kick for goal either. Is just a waste sometimes.
If he wasn't captain, and didn't do so many special things in his youth, people would be begging for him to be dropped!!
