That would be the obvious one but where would Hickey play?

I hope so. BC would be very happy. I actually want Hickey in but that would mean dropping Lee IMO and one game probably isnt fair.
Re: Guess this weeks ins and outs
Tough week at the selection table.
Plugger makes a good point about Hickey and Lee. Does Siposs immediately come back in?
I've got feeling big Kosi makes a special appearance and Murdoch close to selection, as is Ross

Re: Guess this weeks ins and outs
Essendon have lost a big man, so maybe Hickey for Newnes. Three marking forwards in Roo, Maister and Lee might be hard match up for the Bomber defence.

They are the changed I want, just think Hickey may stretch them height wise.plugger66 wrote:Beno88 wrote:IN : Siposs, Hickey

Plugger do you know what is Simpkin not in, is he playing for Sandy or is he injured. I was going he along with Sipposscould really step up this year

(Siposs to play sub. think Simpkin had a good game against these guys last year. Essendon defence is very good so Siposs provides extra forward/line breaking threat)

He is playing. He will hopefully play this week if they drop Blake and can think of someone to help as a second ruckman. Im sure Blake is only ahead of him because he can give a chop out in the ruck.

Re: Guess this weeks ins and outs
Given Essendon don't have many tall forwards, especially if Hurley doesn't play, I don't think there's a defensive spot for Blake, leaving him as just a back up ruckman. If we're going with a back up ruckman then Hickey gets the nod ahead of Blake. Resting either ruckman forward would really stretch Essendon's Fletcher-less defence too.plugger66 wrote:Beno88 wrote:IN : Siposs, Hickey

It would also give Lee the opportunity to play further up the ground and get more touch and confidence.
Either way I think Blake needs a rest. If not Hickey, then Simpkin comes in. Stanley and Maister are capable of giving McEvoy chop outs in the ruck.
Re: Guess this weeks ins and outs
I get the idea of using Hickey but I think that will slow us down even more. I'll go for more run.

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Out Newnes Blake
In Dunnel Simpkin
(though I wouldnt be surprised if Scott played a debutant in Ross or Murdoch)

Lee stiff, but will get more chances soon enough.

I thought it was Webster who played well last week for the Zebras? Not a mention so far.

Re: Guess this weeks ins and outs
Is there any talk at all about Webster, Ross, Murdoch from people that count?
