So he was out injured. I thought they suggested he was dropped. Anyone know what was wrong with him?

Is there some rule that a late change can't play in the VFL?

Sandy lose 12.7-79 to 15.21-111. Cats ran away towards the end from the look of it.

Pretty sure he played a game last year.

i am worried for our future midfield. ledger/ross look to be stalling. saunders yet to show something outside of the intraclub.

murdoch needs a game at the next level, think he's a bit like wright.

From the VFL site:

Best: Webster, Dunell, Cockie, White, Koschitzke, Saunders
Goals: Dennis-Lane 3, Curren 2, White 2, Koschitzke, Lever, Ong, Shepheard, Staley

If that's close to accurate then it doesn't look so bad - three young mids there?

Who are 3 young mids?

Dunnell isn't an AFL mid.... Outside utility like Gilbert, Siposs....
Webster is a HB wingman
Saunders is a straight out mid
As is Cockie?!

Haven't seen enough of any of them to know if you're accurate, but I classify mids as anyone who's not a KPP or a back/forward pocket. Gilbert's been in the centre for multiple centre bounces this year, Siposs was in there at times towards the end of last year. Taking a turn in there helps with rotations so that sounds pretty close to being a mid to me - though obviously not necessarily the same caliber as Hayes or Dal.

Webster is really looking like he's becoming a player this season.

Webster deserves to come in for Newnes this week.
I know everyone wants Seb in because he was a higher draft pick. But draft order shouldnt be relevant. Webster deserves a game and plays a similar position (wing/hb) to Newnes.
