One of the better debuts by a Saints player.
Though against a weak opponent.

VOTE 1 - Nathan Wright

Good to see the debut of what appears to be a good long term player....

Re: Nathan Wright-Rising Star? !!
Very quick break away speed, decent evasive skills, and as hard as Armitage and Geary.
Re: Nathan Wright-Rising Star? !!
Haven't seen the game, but news of Wright's performance is making me very happy!
Love the fact he's speedy And tough (saw this with my own eye's in the pre-season)

Quite pleased to have one of the kids come out and have an impact immediately.
A lot of ours need a lot of work.

Solid game, I wouldn't have thought Rising Star nom, but I'm not sure many others have put their hand up so far this week. If Crouch has a big game tomorrow maybe him, or Luke Brown?Eastern wrote:Very impressive debut !!

Excellent debut. One of which we are not accustomed to, but one we need more of. Sick of watching other new recruits for other clubs come in and have an impact straight away.
Let's not turn him into the messiah though, due to him being the first above par debut we've had this decade. Looks good though

Bring back the Lockett era
Re: Nathan Wright-Rising Star? !!
Matt Jones is too old I think. Which leaves Sam Mayes as my rising star tip for this round thus far. Wright did very well and I'm happy for him, but Mayes had a better game.

Nathan was our first pick in the Draft (24). The Club obviously rated him highly - he looks like a good recruiting choice for a change
Re: Nathan Wright-Rising Star? !!
Sam Mayes will definitely get it this round. But wright played well!

Definitely?LTN16 wrote:Sam Mayes will definitely get it this round. But wright played well!
Mayes 21 disposals and 10 marks....Wright 22 disposals.
I'm hoping Wright's run and dash stood out. I didn't see Mayes' game.

I love this kids composure.
I know I go on about it, but it's such an important quality in a footy player.
