Steven Baker is one of only 2 footballers I've ever had a real conversation with and I must say I enjoyed his company. Loved watching him play, particularly 05/06 when he was really at his best. Was nothing better to me than when he took an Ablett or Judd or an Aron Davey completely out of a game!
So much discipline and yet so little, also cared so much about winning but it seemed like very little about the actual game!
What will be will be!

Suburban footy is tough make no mistake and if bakes has whacked this guy then thats just part of suburban footy. Anyone who has played knows that once you cross the white line you better watch yourself. No cameras here so dont tell the exAFL player he is a has-been or he'll show you he has till got something!

Did the guy get a broken jaw? If so Bakes has to go... 4-12 weeks depends if he wears a good suit to the tribunal

At work an Essendon supporter who is usually a good bloke said to me "Hear about Baker? absolute thug...got what he deserved."

I wish I'd had the presence of mind to ask him about Dean Wallis needlessly knocking out Mil Hannah in the '93 GF. Or poster-boy Michael Long maliciously punching Trent Nicholls in the throat late in the game in the 2000 GF.

Sadly, my friend Aussie Rules is a contact sport. It is very tough, and requires quite a bit of courage. Physical clashes will always occur.
You are obviously trying to score points. OK so you think Baker is a thug.
The other three players I mentioned are also thugs...is it any coincidence those the all played in Premierships?
The flag isn't won by shrinking violets, not is this universe anyway.
