Look we can blame the umpires, the birds, the grass, the hot weather, but there is one thing you cant be is that we have THE worst disposal in the league by far!!

Jack Steven is a riot when he's got it

He is the most uncomposed footballer I have seen, he runs around with the footy like a chook with its head cut off. The he kicks it 8m off his instep.

Some of our other players are also horrible
Interestingly, tonight Gilbert was excellent by foot.

All those who have been bagging gilbert about his disposal need to take a leaf out of his book.. Dont think he missed a target!

Completely agree we turned the ball over at crucial occasions that cost us dearly. Maisters dropped mark was an example when we had the chance to take the lead!!!!

Gilbert and Jones really try hard but occasionally their disposal can be terrible.

To accomplish great things we must not only act but also dream, not only plan but also believe.

Jack had a couple of shockers early on and Milera is a worry when he's got the ball. Gilbo is Gilbo but credit where credit is due CJ looked acurate tonight.

I'm glad at least one other has woken up to Jack. He is a dud. Can't run, can't kick, can't mark and can't think. There is no doubt he can get the ball, or near the ball. But as I have said many times, it is worse to get the ball and give it away than not to get it at all. In a team of good kickers, someone will give it to you. And if you can then kick it to a teammate, then you have done your job.

Got to admit that both Gilbert and Jones hit some targets tonight and not straight to the opposition.

I am beginning to wonder what benefit the club's pre-season training camp in Colorado gave the players. Did they take footballs with them?

Agrred our skill our lack of it is very ordinary. What a difference Schneider made he cam on simply by being able to hit a target... We are a bottom 4 side this year under WATTERS hence he might aswell play more younger players with the skills we need to get games into them.

we would be the worst team when it comes to kicking under pressure...

we seem to instinctively pass short to a contest or a man under pressure

Schneider shows what can happen if you have poise & good disposal.
Hopefully Newnes can develop it as unfortunately Gilbert & Jones just do not have it. Can have a really good game that would be be a fantastic game if their disposal was equal to it.
Roberton, Stanley & Big Ben a positive but feel it is going to be a long year.

That Gilbert and Jones were the best users of the ball is absolutely terrifying. Both have actions worse than Jack Daniels.

We're going to get sliced up by teams who use it well, like Hawthorn and Geelong.

Why we continue to overlook good users of the ball with pace is beyond me.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

Would love to know the stats on our clangers/turnovers going forward between center & 50m line. I thought that was our biggest problem (putting aside the load of soft frees inside 50 to them). Tigers deserved their win but its one we could well have pinched -- if we can just eliminate/minimise those self inflicted unforced errors in disposal. Can't fault the effort but ongoing structural problems in defense and lack of leg speed midfield a concern. Loved the big boy McEvoy's game; he's come of age.

Yeh some terrible field kicking, just gave the tiger a look at the contest too many tmes. Siposs (who's is still young and inexperienced) was quite poor with his kicking tonight. Hate to single one bloke out, but he is one of the better kicks we have!

Disposal and poise, especially late in games has cost us a lot of close ones the past 12 months. (to point out the obvious..)

YOU NEED GLASSES 2 Richmond goals resulted directly from awful Gilbert turnovers by short kicks. Gilbert needs to kick long. Hes good at that and this makes the team forwards look up and the smalls prepare for crumbs. Another sad occasion is when he handballed to the ground between players and that turnover also resulted in a goal (to Richmond).

His effort is superb. Not his short game skills.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency
