Re: Team vs Richmond
Good question matrix, Roberton or dempster I guess...
I also doubt fisher is right, one of those times you appreciate the Blake...
Poor jimmy, was looking good too

If they don't come in then give us the 3 alternatives?realdeal wrote:Do we really believe that Schneider, Dempster and Fisher all come in at the same time after interrupted pre-seasons? Watters has a history of 'late withdrwrals'.
Unfortunately, I highly doubt Fisher plays and I think Simpkin will come in.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: Team vs Richmond
Blake will be the second ruck. If Fisher doesnt play Simpkin comes in and either way Stanley has to play back. Why give him one week back and the next forward. He isnt a Yo Yo.

I still believe that Kosi should have come in if Hickey is out. Otherwise I am happy with the squad.

Most likely Blake vs Simpkin....and they went for Blake so he can relieve Ben in the ruck.SAAD wrote:What the hell in relation to Simpkin...we need him...
Stanley to stay on Vickery
Fisher to take out Roo2.

Well one could say they kept Newnes in despite a dreadful game....to continue to develop him.spert wrote:A pity the inclusions don't include at least one younger player- we do really need to keep blooding the young guys.

Re: Team vs Richmond
Simkin has had an interupted pre-season and I don't think he played in any of the nab cup game. That would suggest that he is UNDER-DONE and would need to build his match conditioning with at least a couple of games at Sandy !!Saintmania wrote:Someone want to tell me why Simpkin is not an automatic inclusion? Re: Team vs Richmond
Don't understand why Blake is playing ahead of Simpkin, unless they want him to second ruck to keep Stanley down back. In fact Blake should purely be in the team for depth purposes only and only play games like last week, because we had three important defenders out.
Also, we are really struggling for midfielders at the moment. I can only really count 6 players, maybe 7 who can have substantial time in the middle. You really need close to 10.

Regarding Gwilt, if it's his crook knee, then it is something of real concern at this early stage of the year. We really need his experience/stability on the backline.
Like others, not sure about Fisher - could be Fisher out, Simpkin in.

Re: Team vs Richmond
Simpkin missed the preseason and came straight intothe sandy squad and I assume has played two games of vfl footy only. Not got any fitness base.
Re: Team vs Richmond
How many defenders can you fit into one side? Already Fisher, Dempster, Roberton, Blake, Geary, Stanley. Fisher and Dempster are better, Stanley is taller, Blake is stronger and Geary and Roberton are more mobile. I love the guy but I'm not sure what his point of difference is.SAAD wrote:What the hell in relation to Simpkin...we need him...
