Because we are posting our opinions......and not what you think Watters is saying.

Kosi cannot play ruck.

Kosi was once good, and is now past it. If Watters turns to Kosi again he is mad. We need to rebuild desperately. Lee, hickey etc should be preferred to Kosi as a forward or ruck. They havea possible future. Kosi does not.

Kosi can only play key forward, and relieve in ruck where he will normally get towelled up. Maister is a better key forward. Kosi for many years now has been playing key forward. If Maister plays key forward now he has pushed Kois out. Can Kosi get back in as a ruckman? I don't think so.

Kosi will not displace Ben or Hickey as ruckman.

FWIW I doubt we will play 2 ruckman week in week out either.

Let's face the reality that we need to build a team for the future.
Kosi should not play this year unless we have a bundle of injuries. His pre-season was dreadful. Too short with no leap..is not a future ruck option. Maister works harder as a key forward.
When Simpkin is fit, he should play instead of Blake.

So, in realistic terms, joke about tonight as much as you wish, but in the scale of things a loss against the Suns at our level and supposed level, is the lowest of lows. Talk about scrapping the barrel.

Strangely enough, I had this awful feeling all week we were going to lose against them.

Some of the worst things I have ever seen!

Coaching, commentating, umpiring, playing, players, decision making.....

Some players were a joke.....

A how's Gilbert 194cm defender playing on ablett..

Some things haven't changed...

Hickey and Ahmed Saad, Milne, Milera, Ray some of the worst performances I've ever seen
i seriously just dont get it.

gilbert in the midfield is just mind boggling. he is struggling enough without throwing him into a position like the midfield, especially with his decision making and disposal.

then were playing 4 rucks, blake, stanley, hickey and mcevoy. its one of blake and stanley if both play down back. one of hickey and mcevoy.

then hyphen as the sub WTF he's a lead up fwd for crying out loud

somethings really not right. hate to say it, but it almost smells like tanking

Talking about getting found out, how about you? I doubt there's a poster here who thinks you're much more than a whinger. God knows what you'd do if we actually were successful, but I'm sure you wouldn't bother posting your thoughts on this forum. So sad.

By the way, Satchmo, I agree 100%; this is BM's special day, let's let him enjoy it.

Funny how people see things. I saw Gilbo do some good things last night. That delivery to Milera was pretty decent which was on the back of a fast moving play.

Don't know why we are having a crack at Marto

There are only two things that can come from this
1. We miss the 8 (just) and rue the fact we lost 'winnable' games like this one
2. We are a bottom 4 side and this is just a prelude of things to come

Nothing good whatsoever will come from performances like that.

Because he is a big sook and loves us losing
We have too many supporters like his that feel more comfortable when we lose so they can bag the club.
When we start winning they don't know what to say or do so thy stop posting.
This poster comes out first after every bad loss.
For a so called supporter he posts a lot when the game is on.
Most others don't sook when they post or tell you after the fact they knew it all along.

How is it what I "think" Scott said?

He said it.

Justin said it.

Scott is choosing to play another specialist ruckman, and attempting to have them as that thirds rotating tall, not many sides do.

Unless its someone like Cox and Nicnat

Ben should be able to shoulder 90% on his own IMO

Saad Milera Milne and then even TDL, were in to crumb what exactly?

I reckon the suns defenders kept their feet all night, there was not the space that the smalls have enjoyed in recent years. I know why, and it needs to be addressed.

Surely you see that Kosi for Hickey decreases the overall pace and agility of a team that is not exactly blessed with pace and agility?

This is it in a nutshell. I do not like our chances against Richmond at all. I am wondering if the Goddard factor impacted on the players expectations for this year.
It will be a long season.

You know why we pr should I say me because I shouldnt speak for others have a crack at BM it is because firstly he said it was one of the worst performances he had seen but still tells me he followed us in the 80's so that is shot down. he said milera was in that group of the worst he had seen. didnt play great but kicked 3 goals so that is shot down. tells us Hickey was a bad recruiting move when never mentioned it once in 5 months since we got him. And the poor kid has played one game in ordinary conditions. This was on top of saying Rooy was super rules player after one game last year. The point of mentioning last year is it is one game. Give the kid a break. And then starts a thread mentioning Cockie. Why we cant get him. No point except for some to think he knows footy and others to think the club stuffed up. And worst of all Bm had previously said he wasnt up to AFL standard and somehow improves without a proper game.

And as someone pointed out he posts 10 times as much when we lose so some think he knows what is wrong with our club.

My thoughts.

Maister got to the right positions numerous times. BUT COULDN'T HOLD A BLOODY MARK! I know it was slippery, but holding at least a couple of those would have made all the difference.

Why the hell weren't we instructed to just ALL sit on Ablett? Similar to what the bombers did to Dangerfield last week? He literally was the only player for the GC that ever looked like winning the game for them - and he did!

Hickey was a MASSIVE disappointment. Hopefully that really poor game is out of the way. Ben needs support, but if our mids aren't going to win the clearances anyway, we may as well throw Blake in the ruck in the again.

Siposs disposal in the first half was a disgrace. He's supposed to be elite at kicking. Tonight was poor and cost us.

TDL needs to go back to the reserves where he belongs. He, as much as anyone, cost us. Their sub comes on and collects over 10 possessions. Ours had one ineffective possession in one quarter. Looked too light.

Gilbo is officially this sites new whipping boy. Was no where near our worst. That dropped mark in the last 1/4 was terrible, and the abuse just starts there and makes everyone feel better.

Milne was poor. He will have those nights and has had those nights before.

Saad tried hard but had virtually no impact. We rely on him now to do more. Can't afford for that to happen again.

Milera kicked 3 goals and set at least one up. Why are ppl saying they want him dropped? Yes he's soft and shouldn't allow back men to just run past him without even attempting to tackle. But on tonight's game, he's not our biggest concern. And I was the one that started a thread on him a couple of weeks ago questioning whether we overate him.

We know we're in trouble if we have to play Blake. He's past it. A true warrior who will always try his hardest, but he's just so slow with such average disposal.

Stanley was great. No way in the world that was a free against him. If it was Roo should have been penalised in the 2nd term as well. Used his forearms to move him and was great use of his body. His disposal was also excellent. Enjoyed watching him.

Armo looked like an elite A grade mid in the first half. To be that he has to keep going in the 2nd half though.

Big Ben started way too slowly, but I thought as the game wore on he started to get into his groove. Was run into the ground, and the fact that Stanley couldn't go into the ruck because we had no-one to replace him indicates just how bad things were down back.

Newnes could barely run in the last 1/4. I hope it was just the unusual conditions because otherwise we can't afford that.

I'd drop TDL first and foremost. Blake will go (surely) Hickey has to be given another chance. Kosi has to show something at least at Sandy before he's even considered. Siposs and Newnes for mine are the other two who are under pressure to keep their spots. Fisher if fit, has to come in, and Joey will come in. Dempster if fit will likely come in as well.

Terrible start, but we're just as likely to come out and smash the tiges this week.

not as bad in here as i thought it would be pluggsy

expected us to win and win well
but the lose somehow, does not surprise me one bit

ablett
34 touches and 4 goals
too good
two at every contest helps

oh well
had no expectations this year really anyway
chance to maybe surprise a few people when the team is settled and they know their roles
still think we arent as far away as many think
but cant see it being this year
prob slide a bit more than last year
then maybe we will start to rise slowly

then again
maybe not

missing chips demps joey and schneides doesnt help
some serious experience and talent there

How many time did we lose to a 3rd year team with 16 third year players and some average senior players?!

It was every bit as bad as any 80's performance.

Milera got on the end of the chain for 3 goals... Is that the measure of a good game.
He did not contribute to the fundamentals that StK would base their game plan around.... Defensive pressure acts. TWO of his efforts will be highlighted in team meeting this week, 1 of which led to Charlie Dixon kicking a goal because Terry sat off him

And Maverick
Yes, I love it when we lose.... You can tell by my comments post losing.
