Embarrassing game by the umps. Have contributed to the farce this has become. Having the volume down doesn't make it any better.

Re: Official Match Day Thread - Vs GCS
I wonder what is happening on our bench?
All he vision is on their bench none on ours.
They are pretty stuffed but live in the humidity. We don't.
If I ever could've seen how our guys were on the bench I could maybe make a call on our chances in the final term.

Looked like about 90 to me so we were lucky.

As I said the umpire paid 100m and confirmed it. So why are you quoting me? If you want to quote, quote those disputing it.

Very humid, ball slippery, really worried how we will pull up and be ready for next week.
Same as first quarter, mind you we should have kicked some of those goals we missed.

Following the same pattern as last year, playing 2 good quarters and 2 poor, not good start
I love this club

Re: Official Match Day Thread - Vs GCS
I'm afraid Jack Newnes is about 3 years away from being a player. He is incredibly weak and (hopefully because if it) rather gutless. Any player of the opposition seems to be able to brush him aside with ease. Maybe if the game opens up a bit in the last quarter, he might come good. But he is going to have to work very hard on his strength.

Looks like a fairly typical R1 effort to me. Skills looked great for 2nd quarter and most of the 3rd, I was impressed until it all unravelled. The Fireman wrote:BJ big loss.....missing Joey. The Boys look spent.

Just explaining if anyone didn't know what it was about
Wasn't like the TV explained it
You can listen to Bristle tell you Carlton are still a massive chance at 28 points down with two minutes to go, you can listen to him tell you all about Lorne, or you can watch a monkey on a pushbike...I know which I prefer...

Agreed. Milne just seemed to panic and blaze away when well in space. After a good settled 2nd quarter we seemed to panic a lot in the second.
But thought the play on call against Stanley who marked the ball running with the flight of the ball was very rough. Suns scored a goal as a result of that.

Well you have been completely wrong about Steven, and I'm guessing you are wrong about Newnes too.perfectionist wrote:I'm afraid Jack Newnes is about 3 years away from being a player.
