Yea strange considering how fragile he's been. I guess he now plays back. Roo / Maister / resting ruck as our tall forwards.dragit wrote:I'm really surprised Stanley wasn't a late change out, talk about underdone, I thought they had only named him for a joke. Hope he goes well though, he just needs 10 games straight.

I think it will be a combination of lack of match practice, and overall experience in the backline that will have given Blake the edge.Shanka wrote:Love Blakey. But really, hasn't simpkin well and truly gone past him?
I would expect Blake to miss more senior games that he plays this year.

With no Fisher they may have wanted another tall option down back if required. Stanley can also play forward (key or flank), wing and ruck and so gives great versatility.dragit wrote:I'm really surprised Stanley wasn't a late change out, talk about underdone, I thought they had only named him for a joke. Agreed, it would be terrible if Stanley went down again! hopefully we can get off to a flyer, he can play a solid half and then bring on TDL for some extra run.Old Mate wrote:Yea strange considering how fragile he's been. The combination of Gwilt, Blake, Drob and Gilbert can take care of the GC tall forwards

Yeah not doubting his versatility, just worried about his match fitness and fragility, playing only half a NAB game. Just hope he gets through.saintsRrising wrote:With no Fisher they may have wanted another tall option down back if required. That new sponsor logo on the back of the jumper is a shocker. Hope they sort that out soon; a big slab of yellow isn't a good look right under the numbers
