fisher in doubt
ST KILDA faces a defensive crisis that has turned its Round 1 clash with Gold Coast into a danger game, with Sam Fisher no guarantee to play
The key defender pulled up sore after the club's last NAB Cup match and, while cleared of a stress fracture, doubts remain.

Seriously, could Jacksons timing to get injured have been any worse?
I hope they don't rush Dempster or Stanley back as a result risking them reinjuring themselves.

We will beat GC without him.
I don't expect an easy win though or by anything more than a couple of goals.

In what suburb did you nearly buy?
Re: fisher in doubt
This is ridiculous.
I'm putting 50 bucks on the Gold Coast to ease the pain.

Ive always thought that is a good idea. If we ever make another GF I am going to put 1k on the opposition. I reckon it is worth losing 1k to win a GF. Knowing my betting skills it will be a draw again.

We win, I don't give a stuff about tipping, if we lose, well at least I have something.

I lost $200 betting on the Pies in 2010.plugger66 wrote:Ive always thought that is a good idea. If we ever make another GF I am going to put 1k on the opposition. I reckon it is worth losing 1k to win a GF. Knowing my betting skills it will be a draw again.
I bet against the Saints in most of the important games where we're favourite. Definitely $50 this week will be a good investment.

St Kilda is a great club - don't ever forget it. It's the peope (supporters, players, coaches & staff) that make it great.

Re: fisher in doubt
I imagine Simpkin will be brought in this week. We should be able to over power them in our forward line. I guess if we are desparate, we could throw Tommy Lee into defence?

Should have looked in the at the corner of Bluff and Highett rd. They give away houses there.

Re: fisher in doubt
Dare I say it but I reckon Beau Meister will be in the defensive mix. He has struggled there before but against inexperienced opposition we should be okay. Also, Kosi at CHB is worth another try. He will be able to crash packs and at least the opposition know that if a high ball comes down they will be contesting against a big unit. Under no circumstances should Stanley or Dempster, or Fisher for that matter, be forced back in a game against the Suns interstate if they are not cherry ripe.
