What's your excuse for being such a tosser?Bernard Shakey wrote:He's always got an excuse, this time it was two a hip and a shoulder.stinger wrote:Richter wrote:Kosi's stats for 2012:

Pretty well backs up what most are thinking... that Kosi had a fair first half of the year but faded away badly in the second.
Like others I now see him behind Maister and Hickey, and probably Lee as well.
he had a hip injury and a dodgy shoulder.....says he's fine now....
What will it be this year, gout?

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: Kosi
I don't see an extra tall making much of a difference in that situation. Why three? Why not two or four? You only need one guy at the drop to spoil a marking defender, most of whom are going to be thinking fist first anyway with any forwards there. You get more i50 marks from leads than contested marks, so I'd rather have more speed, particularly as all of Milne, Saad and TDL are really dangerous on the lead. Pressure their defence, force more turnovers.bergholt wrote:...when you've got a few talls, you can bang it long without thinking too much and hope that one of the big guys makes a contest.
I think teams are running a third tall more for ruck rotations than for marks or even contests. Prior to Leigh Brown playing the hybrid role for Collingwood, nearly everyone was running two tall forwards whilst rotating a ruck through the bench. Now the second ruck is playing and is more of a Leigh Brown type at the expense of a small. I'd prefer to have taken off the FF, most of whom are pretty blah anyway, and kept the smalls. I'd even consider using the sub as a tall, if that's what you're concerned about losing.
Again, I'm probably wasting words. We're likely to see two dedicated tall forwards with two rucks rotating. I just don't agree with it.
Yeah nah pleasing positive

How Kosi is still on our list and being paid good money is one of the world's great mysteries. Why is it so?
Are we waiting for a saviour?

Rather than pay him out he's been given this year it seems as a backup in case of multiple injures and also as a mentor to the kids. That's my take anyway.

like all good scientists say... we just don't know.Little Dozer wrote:How Kosi is still on our list and being paid good money is one of the world's great mysteries. Why is it so?
last year we rotated Stanley between forward and ruck. now with Stanley potentially down back, it is most likely we will rotate McEvoy in the same fashion, with Hickey playing a lot in the ruck.
then you have Roo, Lee, Beau, Kosi, Gilbert all competing as forwards. don't worry too much about lock-ins because players will get injured or suspended (Kosi both) too etc...
