You don't think Richmond are going to be any good this year? Pre-season form means nothing, but they did just beat the Hawks. I reckon they might be a bit better than you expect.

Hawthorn had almost a full side out. plus i dont rate teams that have not made finals in the past decade. they will struggle again this year richmond. I have Brisbane finishing ahead of them, along with 8 other teams.

If supporters like yourself think the club doctors were willing to open him up justified on an excuse, then I'm not sure what he can do.

Be angry at the recruiters....who for too long, didn't have players to cover these guys when injured.

It's the opposite of that Bernard, this is likely his last season, if he was late returning it would defeat the entire purpose of having depth for spots.

He plays if he is up to it, he doesn't if he is not.

Heaps of clubs rest players to avoid surgery, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't (like Dale Thomas this year)

I love Kos, and have supported him and stuck up for him throughout his career...

His time is up, the weekends practice match, although in tough conditions and only a trial, really showed his limitations have grown bigger in the off season, and with Beau really grabbing his opportunity, and Lee improving by the game, Kosi will struggle to get to 200...

Well I would be interested how you can fit Lee in then. I think Lee could only play if they went with one ruckman. I dont rate Kosi any hope unless he turns around his form this week if he even gets that chance. He may because Maister will probably be rested but then Hickey and Ben will probably play.

I was actually talking round one only. No way is Maister a lock for the whole season but only Rooy and Milne are.

Actually not sure that milney is a lock for the whole season - plenty of competition from other small forwards. Hope to see him continue his AA form from last year though

I'm not sure why we're committed to the idea of three talls. Only Hawthorn managed to get 40 goals out of their second tall. West Coast got 40+ out of rotating their ruckmen. The thing is, none of our spare keys are Roughead and none of our rucks are Cox or Naitanui. We have an incredibly talented group of smalls. So play Roo with our second ruck and the rest as smalls.

It'll never happen though, so we'll probably start with Maister as 2nd and Hickey rotating with Ben. Lee probably starts as an emergency. Kosi... not so much.

A forward line full of smalls needs pretty good delivery for one of them to end up with the ball, so you need precision entries which are hard to get in the days of zone defence. On the other hand, when you've got a few talls, you can bang it long without thinking too much and hope that one of the big guys makes a contest. I think our game plan is for speed up the ground so tall forwards are pivotal to its success.
