Re: NAB 1 & 2 - Game Day notes
I don't really give a fig what the wet bulb temperature was, and if the AFL are actually using that as their measure then they are professionally negligent. Wet bulb temperature is one half of the humidity calculation. The official temperature is measured in the shade, so it was 38 degrees in the shade and they played two games back to back in that, on what I assume wa a bright sunny day, meaning the radiant heat was very high. That was bloody dangerous, stupid and negligent.
I also don't give a flying f*** what the tennis or google say about what reading should be used, what was done to our players yesterday was VERY risky. I don't know if anyone here has ever spent time on outback jobsites in WA, NT or Queensland with companies like SANTOS, but the main topic of their site safety policies revolve around heatstroke and dehydration, because people end up in hospital regularly as a result of it. and none of those people are pushing their bodies the way our players did on Sunday.

Re: NAB 1 & 2 - Game Day notes
After the intraclub game I posted a Round 1 team..
while not everyone is playing each week it will be interesting for me to see how my "best" team evolves.
after Intraclub
Geary Sam Simpkin
Dempster Siposs Newnes
Gilbert Hayes Dal
Schneider Roo Stanley
Saad Maister Milne
Ben v Hickey (NAB to decide..)
Armo
Steven
Ray Joey Gwilt, Sub? Could be anyone. Might well be a different kid every couple of ames.
After Nab 1/2
Ben looked slick with some of his best ruckwork ever.
Gwilt was back.
Hickey continued to impress, and so it will be interesting if we go with one or two rucks.
Geary Sam Simpkin
Dempster Siposs Gwilt
Gilbert Hayes Dal
Schneider Roo Stanley
Saad Maister Milne
Ben
Armo
Steven
Ray Joey Milera Sub? TDL
Hickey looking good, but Ben reaffirmed he is still No.1

Not sure Arryn will play CHB.... Not big enough at 189/90 and 15 games
Wing float back, almost identical to the role BJ played... He will do everything (under instruction) not to have an opponent.

After Nab Swans
Stanley showed enough that with us lacking height down back, and with Beau going so well up forward, that they will persevere with Stanley there, or at least against teams with ample tall forwards. Watch out in future or some dashes down the round.
Love TDLs finishing skills. Is just shading Milera at present.

Picking the 22 is tough at present. There are lots of younger players I would like to play, but how? injuries may will be what allows one or two to play. Expect Hickey to play against teams with high leaping rucks.
