The jiggsters profile
Hiya Folks! Just renewed my membership (though will miss 50% of the season ) I've noticed that on my profile I'm a "SS life member" Can I assure you all that I have NO affiliation or sympathy with the Nazi party!

Re: The jiggsters profile
Their life membership only lasted for about 6 years. And they had away games all over Europe.
The franchise obviously wasnt successful as their skipper killed himself. Then a few went to South America for a final footy trip.

Sorry if it offended you (or anyone else for that matter) Stinger. It's just that each time I see the "profile" the "SS life member" bit seems to jump out at me! Probably shouldn't have posted it, so my apologies.

It's ok Jiggster, I liked the humour, it was a playful comment and others just jumped and took over.thejiggingsaint wrote:Sorry if it offended you (or anyone else for that matter) Stinger. Don't worry about the attempted censorship, jiggster. That's exactly how Nazi Germany got started!

Re: The jiggsters profile
i think its a fair call from the jiggster, considering our clubs historic penchant for teutonic blondes!
also having to change our colours during two world wars so we didnt clash with the bosh is pretty sus!

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Re: The jiggsters profile
Ozrulestrace, I'll be at the Richmond game (rd 2) and then flying out to France with Mrs Jigging for our attempt to complete El Camino de Santiago de Compostela. For those who don't know it, this is a walk of around 800km across the Pyrenees and across Northern Spain following the path of the pilgrimage to the cathedral at Santiago de Compostela. Maybe I can light a candle (or ten) en-route for some "divine sponsorship" for our Premiership efforts? Hey Eastern! No need for sponsorship mate, I'm "On the wagon" already!

Re: The jiggsters profile
I'm just hoping I'm fit enough to reach the start! Mrs Jigging and I do a fair bit of bush walking and November last completed the walk from The lighthouse at Cape Leeuwin to the lighthouse at Cape Naturaliste over there in WA. It was a good "rehearsal" for the big walk! It was an experience I'll never forget, and the beauty of that coast and forest will stay with me all my days. By the way, I wasn't joking about the war, more the unfortunate choice of the initials on my profile.

Re: The jiggsters profile
I know you weren't Jiggster and I took no offence. It might have been my clumsy wording and attempt at humour. I was on your side. I was quoting Basil Fawlty from "The Germans" episode. It's an oft used quote, meant to mock those who immediately attack someone who makes any mention of the Nazis and WWII, no matter what the context or intended meaning.thejiggingsaint wrote:I'm just hoping I'm fit enough to reach the start! That's extraordinarily offensive to sausages of any kind. Shame on you, Dr. S!Dr Spaceman wrote:Silly Sausage.
