Great initial post ILPK - totally agree with most of your sentiments
The traditional powers simply cannot buy premierships anymore in the current socialist AFL era. I think the spread of talent is much more even than the BF posters concede
I did not realise their success had been so limited since about 2001 - when did Carlton last play off? 1999! So last century!

There is a large percentage of idiots posting on the main board at bigfooty. Saints fans are just as well represented as other clubs.

Yep so how does that help in a national competition? How many clubs have local top tier sponsors?

Well I think that proves my point. If that is it then I cant see why we should get blamed for not having a local tier one major sponsor.

One illustration of 'How cud yuz let 'IM go?' is Zac Dawson. Called soft and over-rated by many opposition supporters, he was then called a vital recruit for Fremantle.

Never heard that said about a player who left another club. Great point. Probably proves you are right with what you first said.

Used to post there up until about 2007/2008 when it went downhill and was taken over by 14 y.o's.
Had a lot of fun s.hitting Blues supporters and trolled them incessantly. that was fun.
Dont post there anymore. Got extremely repetitive. Ocassionaly go over to the Saints forum which is a lot like this one, but for some reason they think their forum is superior and constanlty bag SS.

Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

You get some good footy discussions, but need to wade through the s***.

Re: Big Footy etc
As I said, haven't really looked at the Big Footy forum, but a couple of posters said it was bettter moderated than SS.
Many of the discussions on here degenerate into insults traded between the 'same old same old' posters so maybe there are good things about the Saints forum on BF.
