Luke Ball could captain Collingwood

I bet you everyone on here would be pissed off!
Ironic considering St.Kilda doesn't have a natural successor to Riewoldt.

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.
Re: Luke Ball could captain Collingwood
I hope people are over it, but you're probably right. To be fair it really doesn't matter who captains the Saints in the next couple of years if we're not in contention, and when we're next in contention there'll be plenty of captaincy options.magnifisaint wrote:I bet you everyone on here would be pissed off!

He brought ticker to the pies, something they were seriously lacking, fair play to him if he gets it.

Why is he sooking dog what ever that is? Would make a great leader but we and him chose a different path.

I dont think he sooked at all. Took more money and more importantly a better opportunity at another club after hardly been played in the second half of the GF. No dog act in that.

He sooked because he didnt get things his way after he was carried for a number of years. Dogact and not the sort of person that should lead a club.

Pretty sure that is all in your head. There isnt one basis of fact in that comment. He is a born leader and would be a good Captain. He wont be though because Maxwell will be again.
Re: Luke Ball could captain Collingwood
Wouldn't want to captain Collingwood, too much stuff lingering around that could blow up under your reign.

What is that bsed on if he comes back as good as he was before he hurt his leg?Sobraz wrote:Ball will be lucky to be starting 22 by years end...

So you lied in your earlier post that he left for greater oppurtunities? Sounds like sooking to me.plugger66 wrote:CURLY wrote:He sooked because he didnt get things his way after he was carried for a number of years. Dogact and not the sort of person that should lead a club.

Have no idea why you would say that. Strange indeed. If you left one job for another for more opportunity you are a sook. Now that is very strange indeed. Hope you have never done it. I certainly have.

If my boss had helped me out and carried me like Ball and then when I was fit asked me to lift my work rate and change a few aspects of my work Id never leave.

Even if another job offered you an extra 70% wage and if your current job took you for granted. Your a better man than I or a liar.

Re: Luke Ball could captain Collingwood
FFS Curly. He left because he couldn't meet Lyon's totally inflexible benchmark for running as a mid. Lyon demanded that his mids run flat out 50 % of their on-field time. Ball couldn't do it. Was in the mid 40's. So Lyon sent him back to the twos to 'think' about his game. Didn't make a jot of difference. Ball still couldn't do it. Some guys just can't I guess. Doesn't mean he isn't still an invaluable in and under mid. But Lyon starved him of opportunity and regarded him as of lesser value. What a farkwit.CURLY wrote:plugger66 wrote:

Ball didn't want to leave and was in tears at having to play against his mates in the 2010 GF.
If you want to blame anyone for Ball leaving, blame Lyon. We lost Ball because of Lyon's rigidity and wouldn't he be a handy guy to have now.

Spot on st Byron.
I have a lot of respect for Bally after the 2010 GF.
As for Lyon - well he's just a dirty turd who unfortunately is still in the AFL system. Karma will bite his arse at some stage though.

You are as bad as Curly. Why the hell is RL a dirty turd? Why are people so angry with the word or at least come across that way?

Yeah, the 'colourful' description perhaps reflects a bit of an angry outlook on the world. Lyon was however responsible for Ball leaving and not really for any good reason. Just his bloody mindedness.

I agree and you have expressed it right. i dont see the need to call someone a dirty turd or a sooking dog because both people happened to leave our club.
