Re: Rumor file 3AW
Has been discussed in media and by the club already that we would share both Seaford and Moorabbin for training in future.........
did not hear what was said on rumour file.

Going back to Moorabbin makes no sense. Club would be stupid to do it. Utilising the ground for some training or leasing out to other clubs is more likely I would think

Was article last month on this exact topic. Training will be shared between two venueschook23 wrote:Has been discussed in media and by the club already that we would share both Seaford and Moorabbin for training in future.........

If given the go-ahead, this multi-million development could mean the Saints would split their training sessions between their new Linen House facility at Seaford and their old ground.

Saints president Greg Westaway said the club was working to redevelop Moorabbin.
"We think we can we do things with that to help junior football and other parts of the competition and do something for the Moorabbin community as well," Westaway said.
"Everyone can win out of that, if we do it right. We think we have a pretty good plan."
Asked if the Saints were keen to return to training on a regular basis at Moorabbin, Westaway said: "I think we will train there intermittently but far be it for me to say when because the football department coaches will make a call on that. It can be disruptive unless it is well planned."
Re: Rumor file 3AW
Sounds great to me. but that's purely from a selfish perspective that I would prefer to be taking my kids to Moorabbin for the occasional training/family day/intraclub than Seaford.
Oh, and Habib and family down at Cafe Sana will be pleased too I'm sure!

Re: Rumor file 3AW
We are looking at using Moorabin in some shape or form
probably means we might organise a kids clinic and a sausage sizzle in Moorabin from time to time. Or Sandy might play a match there or wotnot.

There will be an intraclub match there in early Feb and Sandy will never play there.Con Gorozidis wrote:We are looking at using Moorabin in some shape or form

Re: Rumor file 3AW
If it involves moving the Social Club/Pokies down to the corner where the Bowling Club is/was and upgrading it to something like the original proposal then I'm all for it as it would be far more profitable for the club !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!
Re: Rumor file 3AW
It might have used to be, but these days it's more of a cafe - on Nepean Highway opposite the former Kingston Town Hall. They're renovating at the moment having just taken over the East/West cafe. Perhaps they know they're going to need more space to accommodate the boys again post training?samuraisaint wrote:Is that the old milk bar/takeaway place opposite Moorabbin station?Richter wrote:Sounds great to me. but that's purely from a selfish perspective that I would prefer to be taking my kids to Moorabbin for the occasional training/family day/intraclub than Seaford.

Doesn't the appearance on the 3AW Rumour file mean that its almost certainly incorrect?

"It's been done up", "is a wasteland and not a safe area", "I haven't been there in years". Which statement is true, or are you just having a lend?ozrulestrace wrote:It's been done up- I haven't been in there in years.samuraisaint wrote:Is that the old milk bar/takeaway place opposite Moorabbin station?Richter wrote:Sounds great to me. but that's purely from a selfish perspective that I would prefer to be taking my kids to Moorabbin for the occasional training/family day/intraclub than Seaford.
