bungy - been a long time old fella.

Great to see you back on the grid.

As you can see, the more things change, the more stays the same. have a look at this pissing contest of a thread. Some posters with their tongues firmly up Thommo's backside, while others bagging the s.hite out of him :D :D

I betcha thommo is pissing himself laughing.

He was always a great talking point on SS.

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Been on a little bit of a self discovery tour and come out the other side as positive and motivated as ever with a plan to start an awesome business venture, if you like ice cream but can't do milk you'll definitely be loving me really soon.
Anyway Grant, I am glad to have you around, glad to be back on ss and look forward to seeing Scotty take the boys back into the eight. I remember when you were in Perth and accepted my request to chat to our little footy show pre game. I think that is the mark of you, a man who loves his club, is passionate about his footy and remembered the people that really matter in the game- the fans.
I would love to have a beer with you next time I'm in Melbourne.

Ok I'm back saintsational, come at me
Hi.

Not sure I was here when you were?

So what's your caper, considered footy opinions, defender of the peace, general humour?

You definitely would have remembered the Bungi if you were around Sainter K. A unique much loved poster.

Be prepared to have tears of mirth streaming down your cheeks, sides splitting with laughter. And agreeing wholeheartedly with his sensibile analysis of all things Sainter. And the joy of reading him prick the pomposity in his own inimicable style of posters who deserve pricking.

Be prepared to join the 'bandwagon'.

Hey sainterk, yeah I sort of sift through threads with my arse clown detector and have some fun with the people who sometimes need a direct injection of sarcasm and wit. Enjoy, this place is like a family some good, some cringeworthy and some who have you hiding your wallet when they visit. But there's some bloody passionate and knowledgeable saints fans around here, and for those of us in West Coast fockerland, it's our fix of all things Saint

Oh dear, it would seem to some that if you're not sticking a knife firmly in Thommo's
back, you have got your tongue up his rear end.

What a sad world some posters live in.

I saw GT was having a little browse yesterday, his moniker was on the 'users browsing this forum'.
So if he gives us another little titbit................. expect this thread to go way, way past the 50 pages.
As Dame Edna E would say........ "now that will stir the little possums up"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There comes a time in every thread's life where it's time to sink or time to swim. This is that time? What say you SS?

At 21, Thomas was sacked by the then coach, Mike Patterson.
But he was reprieved when the coach himself was sacked and replaced by ex-Carlton premiership captain-coach Alex Jesaulenko.

Does this mean that Milney will coach?

The article is from the Age, back in 2004.
Well worth the read.

What a great article. A blast from the past. Interesting to note the coaches salary being estimated at $400,000. Which at the time was below the average wage being paid to AFL coaches which ranged between $300,000 and $800,000 at the time ... Except famously Malcolm before Grant. Anyway ... The thing that struck me is that footballers enjoying their footy is a thing of the past, yet as the clubs search for anything medical or physical that can give them a 1% improvement ...this simple concept is dismissed.

AwayInUSA no longer ... have based myself back in Melbourne for a decade of Saintsational Success (with regular trips back to the USA)

Grant,
read your comments re Melb tanking, being critical of the AFL for creating an environment that encouraged "tanking" (whatever tanking actually means).

Would be interested to know if you had been coach in 2000 and we were in danger of not qualifying for the bonus pick (the Roo/Kosi double) - how would you have coached the Saints in the final few games - particularly if we looked like winning?
