Read on another thread that someone has watched the replays of all the seasons games and that kosi looked ok in a lot of them ( or something to that effect I think ) I just watched the Brisbane match - he looked better than Wilkes, reiwoldt and probably mcavoy that day - making him possibly our best big man on the field that night- maybe he can surprise and perform well in 2013 - I hope he can

Wasn't that a wet night on a very slow surface? Those conditions suit Kosi as it brings others down to his pace. Rooey hates the wet also.

Kosi will struggle to have an impact at Sandy next year and he will not playing at TBB Oval.
Expect him to call it quits early in the season.

I know Kosi is not the brightess brain in the AFL so I hope he realises that he will never earn income outside of football like he can in football.
I hope he plays on as long as his contract allows and saves the lot.
Quitting early would mean he misses out on money he will need later in life.

If he is able to produce another 30 goal season considering the money he is on, we have certainly got value for money.

If he does this, where does this leave Wilkes? Probably in the 2s.

Can Lee and Stanley play in the same side with Roo and Kosi? Who on earth knows.

Will we get injuries? Yes and through this all five will play for varying lengths throughout 2013.

If Roo was to go down with a season-ending injury early on, we could be doing wose than having Kosi as out number 1 target.

Meanwhile I state very clearly that I have a major soft spot for the Kos.

We have a non-traditional forwardline whereby our CHF is the focal point with our best small having the ability and does command the ball on the lead. Milne plays like a full-forward as we work through him at times.

With this in mind. Kosi now becomes a distant third option.

The guy has played nearly 200 games for the club - he has been a servicable player and a great club man. Happy that Kosi saw out his playing days with us,I thought he might have been traded a couple of years ago!

He wouldn't have gotten anywhere near 200 with any other club. Serviceable, maybe. Great Club Man, what does that mean, grateful to still be here? Should have been traded at the end of '08, before everyone realised he was a complete dud.

Yep he just fluked 195 games, and survived a few coaching panels. How do you know he could not have played 200 games elsewhere?
Never mind all of the injuries he's had.

And when the pill hits the deck he's slow as treacle. As others have said in this thread the days of a mark and kick player with no pressure or ground skills are gone. I'm hoping Lee or another of the young guys comes through this year.

Totally agree. I think Kosi maybe finished but why bag him for what he has given the club over the years. For a start he didnt pick himself every week so if he isnt good enough in peoples eye bag the selectors, not the players.

as i said before if you said to us in 2000 that that kid we picked at number 2 would play almost 200 games for us kick over 240 goals and be a part of two grand final teams for St Kilda , i reckon we all would have been very happy with that outcome

I couldn't give a rat's about what you think it echoes.

How many Saints have played 200 games?

How many of them are ordinary?

Judged far too harshly IMO. You are the only one who knows if you are a Saints person. I know Kosi is. I know he has given his all for the cause. He could well be a 2 or 3 time Saints premiership player with a bit of luck.

I just want a bit of respect shown to him. Pretty simple.

In all honesty, I think Kosi had a fair season up to the last few games he played. Where I belive his body hit the brick wall and couldn't do what he wanted to do.
Was head and shoulders our best forward against Hawthorn at the G.
If Kosi kicks 30+ next season, then he has made a good contribution.

I reckon Kosi could have been anything if he'd had a good run with injury. I mean that stretch of games in 2005, when he was acting captain, was some of the most dominant and inspiring footy I've seen, but he then had a few injuries to end that season and some more over the following preseason and then very early in the following season was when he had his skull fractured and missed the rest of the year (almost a full season) and I don't think he's been the same since.

He of course had some more concussions and passed out on TV and all that and then had lots more injuries in the following years and I just think it all aged him by at least 5 years and I've thought that for a couple of years now. He is now playing like someone who is 35, rather than 30 and that is why it will take a hurculean effort for him to turn his form from the 2nd half of this season around, enough to be in our best 22 again next year, especially with all the added competition that he will hopefully have for a spot.
