Good god, the horse manure that passes as "contributions" in this place at times. The bloke coached our club. He doesn't any more. It's in the past. Take the opportunity to ask some questions and gain some "inner sanctum" insights to questions you always had, but for pitys sake, move on. He did some very good things that I think instigated permanent changes to the mentality of the place that we really needed. He was found wanting in other areas of coaching, but can everyone who is perfect at their job please put their name down on a sticky thread on this site somewhere.

Learn from the past, but don't drag the fucker around with you like an anchor.

Well, if Thommo doesn't want to come back, so be it. Most people on here have copped the odd whack. Do you seriously think he gives a fat rat's clacker what a bunch of Internet forumites think? Anyone who posts an opinion on here takes the chance that there will be disagreement, and sadly, abuse. Not everyone agrees with some of Thommo's revisionism. Some do.

Id never abuse him and still believe at the time Blight left he was the right CARETAKER we needed at the club to stabilise. At the time when many were saying how pathetic we were etc etc we NEEDED a strong, almost arrogant approach that was St Kilda focussed to steer the ship.

What happened after that became ego driven and power corrupted IMO and to the detriment of our club.

Had he said - Im here for 15-18mths OR until we find that genuine AFL career coach option who has done his apprenticeship Id be still grateful to Thomas.

In the end he hung on to long, so too Butters and we once again became a laughing stock.

Still maintain that list he had at his disposal had a lovely blend of hardened bodies and star kid talent on the way up......cant believe we didnt get a flag.

Grant Thomas should feel satisfied with what he put in place at St.Kilda. He started the era of competitiveness that we all enjoy now.

Like another poster said, it's great to have someone who is happy to talk to the masses about their time inside the inner sanctum of the one passion we all have in common. St Kilda.

Well Barks,
This post started out as a positive one with many questions answered by GT that I, as a long term Sainter wanted answered.
As I stated in an earlier post, both myself and my family found great pleasure in attending StKilda matches when under Thomos guidance, and felt it was a turning point in the clubs history.
After reading your rant above, I feel that you have a lot of personal issues with those involved during this period.
My advise is to get over it and keep these issues to your bloody self mate. I wasn't going to be this nice in my reply, however after reading your answers in your profile....enough said!.
I think this thread has now run its time and should be closed down.
Don't worry about posting a vindictive response to me mate, as I am mature enough to make this my final post on this thread.

Please don't hijack a thread that others are getting information from B4E.................... Start your own thread where I'm sure you can then cut and paste your scurrilous statements to your hearts content sonny, who knows you might get a reply or two.

I note other posters have been asking constructive, critical questions of GT and have pointed out what they consider negative aspects of his reign at the Saints; however, they haven't had to lower themselves with infantile and personal invectives. They also show restraint and class.
