Re: Daniel Markworth suspected ACL injury??
Injuries are never good no matter who is involved.
Nevertheless, the downside of getting rid of all those players people like to refer to as spuds is that any injury news that comes through is going to concern a player we rate.
In regards to Daniel we can only hope it's one of those instances where the news is better than expected.

This is terrible news.
Daniel can really play, I was really looking forward to seeing him in the seniors this year.

"...If there has been one recurring theme through this whole shocking mess, it has been the misguided, inflated egos and their ill-judged determination to cling to long-standing old boy friendships. The bad advice that has guided the selfish and culpable James Hird has not only punctuated this saga but symbolised it..."

Mariah Carey early Jan, and Kiss Motley, Crue and Thin Lizzy (don't know how without Phil Lynnot) early March, so surface will be in tip top shape. Not forgetting of course the dropin pitches for the Big Bash rubbish.SainterK wrote:On that, wonder how they are treating it this off season.Teflon wrote:Yes. has it been can'tfirmed?
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Biggest asset is speed and agility...... So shame if true
I hope he doesn't hit the gym and get too heavy.... Or it might go again like many others...

full acl?
He told me that Daniel injured himself during training, so it wasn't on a hike etc
He said that Daniel would miss all of 13', but the club were not sure just yet how sever the damage is.
so for all the docters out there, What are the different levels of severity of damage you can do on an acl that has already ruled you out for 12 months?

Lots of people post crap on this forum.
In the absence of any official confirmation, I'm still hoping this is one such instance

Has this been posted yet? It's the only "official" thing I've seen - albeit from a journalist.......

It was nothing personal about you but more about me living in hope that it's not true.
Re: Daniel Markworth suspected ACL injury??
How can anyone possibly know that you're not? You know that you're the most trustworthy guy in the world. We have no way of knowing that. Don't get all sooky about it.sainter#4 wrote:so i don't appreciate you implying that I'm "posting crap"
Re: Daniel Markworth suspected ACL injury??
No, it won't go again just because you become heavier, that sounds like a myth.BigMart wrote:Biggest asset is speed and agility...... So shame if true

The first 6 months you need to be careful, the graft is strong at the beginning when it is taken, then the graft will slowly "die" and be at its weakest point around 3 months, and then begins to regenerate and become full strength at the 6 month mark. Return to sport from 9 months but typically 12 months and onwards.
That what I learned anyway... as I said, if he has done it, the good thing is he will get a full pre season in next year, and have more time to grow his "confidence" back, rather than trying to get up midway through the season. I'm fairly sure Lenny has said the same thing as well. While is sucks, its just another part of life's journey.
Still waiting on official confirmation though, so haven't given up hope that he's alright.
Re: Daniel Markworth suspected ACL injury??
Poor guy.
Him and Sam Gilbert must be the only injuries on the list at the moment.
Timing sucks for him. We still don't know if he'll make it or not, but this would have been the year to prove himself. Now he'll have to come back from the injury AND play better than he ever has just to get a look in. ( For example : look at the difference between Gwilt pre-injury and post injury last year - not everyone bounces back like Lenny ).
I hope we arent ruthless like when Attard was injured.
