Re: Saints re-engage Moorabbin
I hope they can get some cafes put in. They will need several hundred thousand just to do feasibility studies and then some heritage over lays will be discovered on the foundations of the toilet block which will mean the project can't go ahead because of a historically significant sewer pipe that may get damaged. The councillors will spend 8 years debating weather all people attending the ground should be forced to ride bicycles instead of cars. And then someone will come up will some other far fetched plan to move to Bairnsdale where land is cheaper and councils will let us have pokies and the whole thing will start over.

Re: Saints re-engage Moorabbin
I heard about this last week and laughed when they talked about the council .
They stonewalled the club for years , so why the change of heart ?
Perhaps the morons have finally realised that an elite training and management facility is an asset to the entire community .
More likely they'll waste money on something that may never happen .

I walk the dog there all the time. The ground itself is in perfect condition. Spose it should be cos didnt Thommo spend 200k to get it perfect. I cant help but think back to how it
was as the dog pee's on every tree. Sometimes if you listen very closely you can hear the duff duff from the disco

Biggest blunder in our history to walk away from Moorabbin.
Never too late to redress it.

Let it go. We have a new training ground. There are no facilities there at all. Players have to turn up in their gear. Ormond has better facilities.

Re: Saints re-engage Moorabbin
This is embarrassing when you look at how the bigger clubs manage this.
We leave Moorabbin , build a state of the art facility at Seaford and in 2 yrs have apparently outgrown it?
What a shambles, complete short sighted waste of cash by incompetents.
We are a laughing stock - reading that Greg just hasn't found a plausible enough reason for us to admit we frigged up and need to go back to Moorabbin.
Barks 4 Eva must be pissing himself."

Re: Saints re-engage Moorabbin
Here's my prediction. Seaford will be sold soon to some rich private school for a new campus or playing fields. The move from Moorabbin will be admitted as a poor decision by a previous administration and council. Saints will get money from the state government, AFL and Kingston council to completely redevelop Moorabbin, including a South Road frontage for a public venue as originally planned. There will also be plans for growth of the facility in the future as needed.

We'll then fall out with Kingston cause we want 45 porkies and they only allow 44 before deciding to open negotiations with Casey.mildurasaint wrote:Here's my prediction. Did i blame all the fans. I dont think so but you have a history of making up things. I do get a laugh at your posts. Please post more often. I feel like a good laugh.Teflon wrote:We'll then fall out with Kingston cause we want 45 porkies and they only allow 44 before deciding to open negotiations with Casey.mildurasaint wrote:Here's my prediction. If people come over and they play for the Saints and they have dinner you can call it a dinner party. I call it dinner with friends. Dont know what that has got to do with making things up though.

So does our board and CEO back then because it seems from all reports it was over about 3 poker machines. They were as silly as each other. No we need to make Seaford work.

Re: Saints re-engage Moorabbin
I think there was more going on the background than people realised about the pokie issue.
The threat to local hotels eg The Sandbelt and whoever held the pokie licences may have been making about losing business and that spooked the Topsy council.
