5. TOM LEE
Club: St Kilda
Age: 21
Height: 194cm Weight: 94kg
Drafted: Pre-listed trade from GWS
Booted 60.20 in the WAFL this season and is ready to slot straight next to Nick Riewoldt in attack. Runner-up in Claremont's best-and-fairest and with a big frame is well-equipped to mix it in the AFL.
Tom Lee is in position 5 for the entire AFL's draft picks to make an impact on 2013. If that is the case considering we got Wright as well as Lee for his pick, I think we have done very well.
Plugger said any one that has been on a list and didn't make it is a dud so expect 12 goals this year for Sandy and delisted by 2013.
Seriously he could cause some damage to teams like GWS and Melbourne where they will struggle to contain all our forwards. A couple of big bags of 5 goals would be my guess and some respect earned will be a good year from him. Still looks light and a generous assessment of his height. He does't look heaps taller than Milney in the interview.

What Tom Lee does and does well he attacks the ball in the air like theres no one around. He has a good leap and sticky hands. Easily the best key forward taken in the draft/trade period on potential.

He's got something similar to Jack Riewoldt about him as he runs his man around and can play at ground level too but is good for a few highlight reels as well. On the fullback thing, I feel he's too light to play on the big guys and wouldn't offer a lot more than Simpkin the rest of the time so forward or nothing for me.

Sixty goals twenty points suggests that he is a full forward and should be pressing strongly for a berth in Round 1. Yes, I know we need a key defender ... But a true spearhead, a genuine full forward is an equally pressing concern.

Correct weight. If a 18/19 year old kicked 60-20 in the WAFL he'd be all the talk and a chance to go at one in the draft.

Similar trait to one Justin Koschitzke. People on here have given him a bit of grief about hurting team mates in packs etc.
We just need to make sure we manage his body a bit better IMO.
Can't wait to see some of the new guys out on the field in Saints colours.
Roberton, Ross, Lee, Hickey. Excited about these boys. Bring on the NAB Cup!

You have problems understanding dont you so then you lie. Dont like liars and especially dont like people with limited footy knowledge. You qualify on both counts. Probably not worth having a beer with anyway.
Tom Lee is our next Full Forward all the way. Lets give him a chance to ply his trade before we get to him to be a filler for other list mgt issues.
The full back issue is a completely separate issue. We recruited Tom as our next 10 year FF.
Kosi is finished as an AFL player - so lets get behind Tom as a long-term FF.

Plenty have including Bob Murray
also Max Hudghton played forward before we recruited him

Very true, good point - a 21 year old does it and its not considered that big a deal

God help me if I was stuck in a pub with you. You have been arguing the whole trade period about picking up hand me downs because they can become superstars like the kids can. If you don't like limited footy knowledge folk you must have a hard time in your own company.

Agreed. I have no idea exactly what they signed him for, but on the face of it I wouldn't push him to his non-preferred position straight away - recipe for failure. Unless he's the next G-Train...
It would be seriously stupid to put him in defence. If any of the forwards should play defence, it would be Stanley--but even then I would leave him in the forward line.
