This. LA customs is the worst. One time going through LA I stood in a queue in the LA Customs hall and the queue moved 6 feet in about half an hour. maybe have to arrive in melbourne two hours before the trip...LA customs could take 2 to 3 hours to clear....then have to waite for colorado flight.....all takes time....
