I have been subjected to the unfortunate situation in which I share mutual friends with Wilson. At the risk of attacking the woman, rather than what she writes, may I just say she is one of the most thoroughly unpleasant people I've ever met. She is contrary, rude, aloof and comes across as embittered. As for her writing, let's just say she reports gossip, rather than making any insightful observations. If she wasn't Ian wilson's little girl, I doubt we'd ever heard of her.

Just one last bit of advice for her. If you're going to set yourself up as a paragon of virtue, don't race into your office and boast about just having "bagged" Seve Ballesteros. That's no rumour, caro, that's a fact and one your colleagues have been dining out on behind your back for years. My "thourthes" on this are impeccable, unlike yours.

I actually agree with you for once. Grammy appears to have a severe drinking problem. They live together, but most blokes are attracted to other blokes of similar characteristics. Sweeping generalisation I know, but my tip is that they have quietly told him to pull his head in and back off on the late nights now that training has recommenced. Like Caro said, nothing illegal, just want him to set a better example to the younger boys.

I hope your experiences with her have been more positive than mine, Cairnsman. My point about her is that she often takes the high moral ground, when she is less than virtuous in her own behaviour. Just because there are a fair few a$$holes in her industry, both male and female, doesn't excuse her behaviour. What I find particularly galling is she doesn't really care who she might destroy, as long as there's a by-line in it.

Just like clockwork a new OP on BF has started about our "culture" issues. So sick of being put down, and kicked in the guts, by all and sundry again regardless of whether there is anything to this story or not. The masses will be drouling over yet another opportunity to smash our "poor culture". Other clubs supporters view us as a laughing stock. I know because I'm forced to defend us on what seems like a weekly basis.

Will it ever stop? Will we ever be taken seriously?

Our perceived "culture problem" has as much relevance as The Collywobbles and the half-wits that resort to mentioning it know it full well: it's like us with the tired old Collingwood supporter stereotypes: too easy. Back your club and don't be so thin skinned. The last thing we want to be as a club, as a group of supporters, is the equivalent of a person with "short man syndrome", always trying to justify ourselves in the face of other people's pre-conceptions.

If our club continues to make to make decisions based on countering this out-dated preconception, then the terrorists have won. However, I'd rather the club did take all steps to make sure this culture thing isn't a problem for us going forward.

Even including Gram, KD-gate and all the other recent controversy, we have no more than the average amount of trouble at the club, supporters of other clubs can deny it, but it's true and they know it and so do you. Laugh it off, and trust the club to deal with it. If they don't, we'll make sure the people that replace them have a mandate to do so.

Media always brings up our 'bad culture'. All clubs have alot of young men doing very stupid and naughty things. Not just us.
Hawks & Pies have quite a few young men being naughty ( very naughty), but if you win a flag all of a sudden the bad culture is fine.

He could go out too much but by not saying what his issues are it is left to the public to think the worst. Direct observation of her behaviour, personally and by those with extensive knowledge of her through having worked with her for nigh on three decades. The Seve bit came from her own mouth. Brace for sarcastic, nonsensical, error ridden, baseless, hypocritical retort.
