He's quite a decent player. Have seen him play a few times and plays tall, can run and has awareness.

For what it's worth has shown more than Jamie Cripps

Roberton is a local kid from Frankston (Karingal actually) and loves playing footy. Always with a footy in his hand - lives for it. He probably saw that there were limitations to prospects under Lyon and his defensive game plan. He certainly won't complain about having to train at Seaford.
Handy player from what I have seen. Could develop.

Depends how he goes at training I guess. The fact Freo had a contract on the table for him would mean they rate him somewhat. Personally, I remember him as a skinny kid bumped off it too easily who looked like he belonged in a band like Motor Ace or similar, think black tshirt and leather jacket when u see him.... anyway, didn't realise he was still so young, I'll trust the club to decide who is the best option based on cost, our needs and future potential when it comes to drafting one of Cook (Myke & Lucas), Cockie, Sikora, Jacobs or Roberton - I have a feeling one of these guys plus one mature key back will be recruited.

Well if we pick him up can we give Raph's old number? It'll make it easier for all the plonkers on here to figure out who to abuse.......

I am thinking he might be a bit like andrew mackey from cats - I still want us to get a mature age key back - this kid might be worth a look as well -- still need to get 3-4 kids in the draft as well - so spots are going to be tight

He decided to leave Freo. That's a good start.

Is this the kid who wears the headband?

Always thought with a bit of bulk...but not everyone can change their frame that easily.

McFly though Gringo? I must be missing something...no talent other than getting away with cheap shots.
Yeah wears a headband.

Has always had elite endurance, and is a good person too, wouldnt harm the fabric of the club at all.
At 21 and already with 37 games, not going too badly,
Ideally will probably become a wingman.

Came home because he has recently had a recent addition to his family.

He is still the only kid that I know that was allowed to have a footy in class at school

Happy to take him - for the right price. If we use our last 2 picks in the draft for Roberton & Dunnell, or if we give him a rookie spot, I'd be pretty happy.

Any chance Siposs could given Roberton and Steven an s each? Only seems fair to share them around a bit more...

He's at an age that still has scope for improvement and if he's the best option it's all good. I can't remember him that well but my Freo supporter mates were talking him up a few years ago.

This is the kind of bloke Sydney snap up and turn into a very solid B-grader. Freo wanted to keep him, but he wanted to come home, I hope we have a really good look at him, fits our missing age profile… Same age as Markworth, Siposs, Stanley, Winmar, Simpkin… but played more senior footy than any of them, so he must be doing something right.

Do we really want to draft a sook who wants to come home?

Well, hopefully he is more of a Chris Judd type of sook rather than an ordinary footballing sook.

Maybe he thought Ross is a can't.

I would demand a return home if I wanted to wear my hair long with a headband. It makes your hair sweaty and it looks s*** after a while living in a warmer climate. At least he doesn't live in the tropics the constant humidity can destroy the integrity of your head band making you look less powerful during games when it falls off.

Given the popularity of guys like Caddy and Jacobs around here, I think most people just want a name they're familiar with.

Hickey wanted to be close to his girlfriend. Not sure that much better.

I was joking. Just thought cripps got treated unfairly for the same thing.
