Re: shifter sheahans top 30 prospects for the afl draft
My stab at a Saints Phantom-
25- Josh Simpson (quick outside mid)
26- Jesse Lonergan (inside ball winning animal)
41- Spencer White (194cm athletic tall fwd)
44- Mason Wood (192cm fwd/mid)
77- Nick Rodda (196cm defender)
95- Sam Dunell (rookie upgrade)
Rookie list
1- Jayden Post (195cm def)
I think they'll be a few quality mids fall to the mid20's & the combo of Simpson/ Lonergan gives us the best of both worlds. White looks fantastic in the footage available & Wood could be something special (will more likely be an option at 25 or 26).
Whether its Rodda, Corr, Walshe, Frost or Tippett, I think we should draft best available at all picks & try to fill the developing key defender spot late.
Post if he is still unsigned has potential & can fill a gap for at last 12 months.
I like Colquhoun like most others but if guys like Simpson & Lonergan are still available I'd jump at them.

Seeing as we were (on average) the shortest team in the league last year I certainly wouldn't.St Ick wrote:I'd take that! Maybe one too many talls but I wouldn't complainAnimal Enclosure wrote:My stab at a Saints Phantom-

I reckon we'll drop out of the draft at 44, and use 77 to upgrade Dunnell

I thought that Gram's delisting meant that 77 was now 'alive' & 95 would be the Dunell upgrade pick.Sick Nal Danto wrote:I reckon we'll drop out of the draft at 44, and use 77 to upgrade Dunnell

Thanks st_Trav_ i noted the mention of Kamdyn being an elite endurance runner and having a soccer backgrnd - coming to AFL @ 14. With his home life - real life achievements in taking care of his family he struck me as a solid and interesting mix of qualities for sure.
At 192cm. it'll be interesting how the club goes. Wonder if they'll go 4 a stay @ home FB or seek out a rebounding running type???
GO SAINTS!

The boy can play and we can build a defence around him that will have respect.
