Re: Jackson Coleman
A bit young and inexperienced yet. Has his 21st next month, is a big lad at 196cm and 92 kg, so maybe a KPB in a couple of years.
Wouldn't surprise if he is Rookied this year.

His coach reckons he's pretty quick.

Re: Jackson Coleman
I reckon Kosi would outrun him. Unless his fitness has been so poor later in games that he just can't run them out? I've seen him slow as a glacier watching him in games.howlinwolf wrote:His coach reckons he's pretty quick.

If he had glandular fever that will probably rock your fitness levels - if you saw him late in a game there's a chance he was out on his feet -- a big preseason and full health might make a massive difference
Re: Jackson Coleman
True or he could be one of those blokes that tests quickly but doesn't show his speed on the footy field. His speed might be okay, maybe his agility is the issue. Either way I'm happy to be proven wrong but I've seen him play a number of times & aside from kicking a nice goal here and there, I didn't really see anything that was too exciting.saint6709 wrote:savatage wrote:I reckon Kosi would outrun him. On the same hand I remember back in the day Scotty Cummings finished ahead of a young Dean Cox in a preseason time trial ... Fitness and speed can be improvedsavatage wrote:I reckon Kosi would outrun him. Unless his fitness has been so poor later in games that he just can't run them out? Re: Jackson Coleman
He's just like his old man, as slow as a wet week, and Glen may have played 80 odd games with each of Fitzroy, Sydney and Footscray, but he wouldn't get a game today.
Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell
Re: Jackson Coleman
You're right. His old man is definitely past it and wouldn't get a game today.Bernard Shakey wrote:He's just like his old man, as slow as a wet week, and Glen may have played 80 odd games with each of Fitzroy, Sydney and Footscray, but he wouldn't get a game today.

Re: Jackson Coleman
watched Coleman on a few occasions who never showed any flair, would be very surprised

Re: Jackson Coleman
Last year I thought Lever was hopeless..... If he makes inroads, good on him and hats off to the recruiters who I thought wasted a pick for sure
I reckon Coleman is a similar sort of player to Paul Johnson who used to play at Melbourne..... So doubt whether he'll ever be a gun, but a good player at VFL level and maybe handy as a back up in the AFL

I'd rather Lever...at least until he's had the same amount of time as ArcherBigMart wrote:Last year I thought Lever was hopeless..... If he makes inroads, good on him and hats off to the recruiters who I thought wasted a pick for sure

i think Lever only came as a very late pick so not much risk he took the place of a better player. I still have high hopes for Lever. Talented kids can develop at different times, the big boys take more time and he was really really thin at first. If he gets a couple of games this year he will have progressed and we should be expecting a bit more of return the year after.

There was that great quote by the guru on the coodabeen champions, "A good big man will always beat a good little man, unless that big man is Glen Coleman!"
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!
