Did a mock up but I'm on iPad, and it looks crap.
But basically follows our logo.
Black cross in middle, white either side below the cross arms, red above the cross arms.
Reckon it looks better than this years.

I like the lower neckline. I struggle getting last years over my head with a hoodie on. Unfortunately for me I will need to buy a new jumper...

I'd like to see it on the boys before I decide, it could look completely different on....

Re: St Kilda's 2013 jumpers
I thing the shoulder panels are the only change from 2012 - the white stripe on both the home and away strips are always greatly understated in these release images, I'm certain the anaemic white crap away jumper we've been wearing for the last 2 years is exactly the same as what will be served up this year.
I know the AFL says no stripes on away strips, but it's ridiculous that we can't use the candy stripe jumper - there was never any clashes when we wore this 6 or 7 years ago....

Re: St Kilda's 2013 jumpers
Last years home strip was the best we have ever had. It made the players look sharper and stronger, a real impact visually. If this years is not too much of a change other than being a bit more stylised (read shoulder padding) then I am all for it.
As for the away strip, I never felt or understood the need for it but if we must have one then next years aint too bad. I preferred 2010 but its too hard to look at it now...

Without a doubt, the proposed 2013 jumpers are first class, the best in the business.
You will always have knockers, particularly on SS, who will even find faults with the Rolls Royce.

Can this guy play full back?kosifantutti wrote:Why do they have to mess with the design again?
Putting black on the shoulder like that is a significant change. I don't give a rat's tossbag if it looks better. It's a change to our jumper without any consultation.
Pick a design
eg.
and stick with it.

I'm with the OP'ers. Last year's home jumper was great....During the 2011 Avalon Airshow, Rolls-Royce faced questions concerning incidents with its Trent 900 Turbofan used to power Airbus A380 aircraft, the latest of which caused a partial power loss during a Qantas flight on 24 February 2011. Rolls-Royce stated that they have dedicated 350 engineers to trace the cause of a mid-air explosion in one of its Trent 900 engines on Qantas Flight 32 which caused the aircraft to make an emergency landing in Singapore in November 2010...

One Rolls Royce that does not need messin' with.

They'd be ok Andrew, but a bit small-time..., given the rarified circles that our Board now operates in...andrewg wrote:Yes! Have we secured those???bobmurray wrote:like a Hancock or a Rio Tinto type you mean...andrewg wrote:Would be nice to see a few ore sponsors on the front.
it's "Go Well, Go Shell" for us now.
Maybe we could offload those other secondary-level sponsors over to someone like the Poodles, as a good will gesture???

Re: St Kilda's 2013 jumpers
collingwood players next year will have theirs personally designed to fit them. most players will have theirs tight enough that there is no way any other player can grab hold of their jumper to tackle. where as the 3 key forwards will have theirs designed so it is loose around the neck/arm holes, and towards the bottom, making it easier for other players to hold on and get a free kick paid against them for holding.saintbrat wrote:apparently players are wanting firmer and closer fitting all the time-to stop scraggingDave McNamara wrote:I stand by all my rants on not stuffing with the jumper... that said..., I could warm to the armoured bodysuit.HitTheBoundary wrote:Personally, I always thought we should go the armoured bodysuit.

pure class collingwood.

Re: St Kilda's 2013 jumpers
There is going too be a 140th Birthday jumper too
"Round 7: Saints relive history to celebrate 140 years
St Kilda will celebrate its 140th anniversary in the traditional Monday night clash against the Blues post-Mothers Day.
In 1872,(should read 1873) St Kilda played its inaugural AFL match against Carlton and 140 years on the Saints will don a heritage Guernsey featuring the names every player to have worn the red, black and white"

I didn't like 2011-12 home strip and IMO the alterations make it look even worse. Not a fan of the black on the right shoulder and the narrow white stripe. It looks like a wetsuit.
