Of course, final list lodgements not happened yet, all clubs potentially still in aliasing delistings!
Maybe this year?

Re: St Kilda player in the news
He'll probably play in a premiership next year with collingwood or hawthorn, they don't seem to have a salary cap. Carlton will look at him I imagine too, at least for his sake he was sacked prior to the upcoming delisted FA period and drafts.
He's been stupid, but I still feel sorry for him... Was playing done good football towards the end of the season.

Would think they can replace him - quite sure Richmond can with Connors, while 2 teams have had players walk during 2012.

I couldn't give two s***s about Jason Gram to be honest. All I care about is the STKFC moving forward.
And for mine, Gram has been a bad influence around the traps for quite some time.
I'm actually down in writing on this site after the 2009 Grand Final - saying we should trade the guy.

Shivers, that was a major call to make back then - I thought he gave them run and carry off HB, but can readily be replaced.Quixote wrote:Thanks MCG.MCG-Unit wrote:Quixote wrote:Assuming we get to replace his spot on the list.

Tough call but seems like he was already on warning.

Re: St Kilda player in the news
The guy's been obviously a deadshit for a long time - just look at his Twitter output - but I can't help feeling sorry for him in this situation. I can't see him being signed at any other AFL club, the publicity would be too bad. I just hope he learns something from this and finds a way to get on with the rest of his life.
Re: St Kilda player in the news
Unfortunately I am not a Gram supporter. Glad to see him go.....the circumstances arnt flash but it works well for the saints and that's all I care about in reality and especially in the football world.

As soon as I saw the tatts I knew he was destined for Collingwood. The writing was on the arm

Re: St Kilda player in the news
I honestly wasn't aware of any of the "behind the scenes" things with Gram. I kind of liked him. Had a thumping accurate kick. I also can't help thinking this is a kneejerk reaction by the club... or simply the last straw in regards to off season incidents we seem to endure year after year. I feel a bit bitter sweet about it. Our salary cap must be opening up a little. Rooey slashing $500k, Goddard gone and now Gram. Could be interesting.

Re: St Kilda player in the news
Met him when he first came to the club and he always had time for me and my brother often hanging out after training to have a chat to us.
I for one am sorry to him go but I fully understand and appreciate why the club made this decision.
Geez Gram gone and Raph probably gone too? Who is left for some of the toolbags on here to pot every week about being s***?

sorry to be smart but I hated that 60m dog torp he would bang out, and always ways to a opposition defender!St. Luke wrote:I kind of liked him. Had a thumping accurate kick.
At times he really did try and play well. One game last year in the final term or third he really lifted and took the game by the scruff. But those moments were few and far between. Not nice the reasons he is leaving but i think we will be stronger without him. Ray, time to stand up champ!

Re: St Kilda player in the news
Definitely not knee jerk at all, there's been a few other incidents in the past & stuff that was well publicized like the missed rehab sessions & receiving discipline in the past from the club. I wasn't a fan of his on field work at all as most people on this site would know - but I'm certainly not wishing ill on the bloke & hope he can get his life back on track.
