Re: Will you boo Goddard?
Not only will I boo him, but I will boo anyone that doesn't boo him. I will even consider booing anyone that does boo, but not to a satisfactory level. All in all, a lot of boos is required.
*Allegedly.

Why do you ask the same question every time the word is mentioned? Have you tried Google?plugger66 wrote:What the hell does a boo mean anyway?

Seems strange to boo someone who our club invited to see what better offers were out there....

200 games for the club and a life member. No. He's moved on to set up the rest of his life. Good luck to him.

No I don't boo. Least of all someone who gave the club 10 years of very good service. One of my favourite players.
Will always hope the Saints swamp Ess though.....

Re: Will you boo Goddard?
I'm not one to show emotion against our ex players at games. However, I must admit I have been known to cheer more aggressively every time one of our players outplays an ex team mate, especially Hall against Sydney.
Strangely Goddard is a player that I always felt would leave the Club eventually, however I always thought that he would go to Carlton.
I certainly won't miss him as much as I would if it had been a Harvs, Lenny or Roo. Although one player that I did regret leaving was Spider.
I honestly feel that he didn't really want to go initially. How great would it have been to see him as a one club player at the Saints.

I don't think anyone cares...well the majority do not.
I for one was over the nonsense surrounding him going/not going by the time it was all said and done.
That being said if I have a few beers in me I shall be levelling a few barbs in his general direction as to him needing the extra cash for his brothers legal bills.
Sheesh Im clever.

In all seriousness BJ is one of my favourite saints of all time, love watching a kid from 17 develop into a 200 game superstar! Loved the anger and intensity he plays with and the way he flew the flag for the club and his mates. Also enjoyed that he largely avoided spotlight and was his own man, not heaps of media but honest when he did, never got in the s*** but not a goody goody either.
I'm gonna miss him but will abuse the crap out of him if he deserves it!

Re: Will you boo Goddard?
Well not everyone can be like Trevor Barker can they? I never thought I would ever get over Plugger leaving but I did and whilst I never booed him I never cared much about him either. The first time you see them in another jumper a small part of you dies. It changes again when they retire, the anger & hurt subsides & you remember them for their contribution to the club. You wander though, if we kicked straight in 09 & the ball bounced up instead of sideways in 2010 would Goddard leave being a 2 time premiership player with 200 games?!! Interesting thought. He is dead to me now, just another player for me playing against us. We move on pretty quickly!!

Essendon hack.
