There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Say we tried hard for Brown, right till the very last few minutes. At least it is something. Cant wait for the Supporters to carry on about how bad Cripps was and thank god he is gone.

Good - we can use picks 25 and 26 now to draft some pacy young midfielders.

No
We get #41 and #44 (Cripps worth nothing) as well as TDL and lost 46 and 47
So in fact TDL plus a move up the dps.
What in hell else were they supposed to do?

Yep - we get an improve on the dps from #46 and #47 to #41 and #44 plus TDL but it was a bad trade considering we could have got nothing???

Re: Saints offer Pick #25 and Cripps for Brown
Hope we bend WCE over next season and ream them till they cry.........
We end up with 25, 26, 41 & 44 - not that the round really means anything other than a nominal category, but we''ve ended up with 4 second rounders !!

Re: Saints offer Pick #25 and Cripps for Brown
Wow. According to the Age website, we effectively offered to give up pick 25, 26 AND Cripps for Brown (trade 25 and 26 to Geelong for 16, then trade 16 to WCE). I'm glad they didn't have time to accept that. I desperately wanted Brown, especially seeing how keen Pelchen and Baines were, but no way would I have been happy with that price. If they were that desperate to get him this year, makes me think even more that we'll try and get him again next year, which should be easier and cheaper.

Re: Saints offer Pick #25 and Cripps for Brown
Wow, 25, 26 & Crippa. Wow that would take some getting used to. Would we have had to try to consider that deal just for us? If it was 25 & 26 for anything under 15 then I would have thought happy days for us! Ah what could have been. Basically would have meant we returned to our original trade possie prior to losing BJ! IF true I could have considered that a win in trade period... nows as it stands its just 50/50 and lots of question marks on unfulfilled talent...SaintTom wrote:Wow.
