Wallace wouldn't have done the trade which means he will be a gun.
Lance or James??

Sometimes you have to let it go. JB where does this guy play for us next year? I agree with Terry and also the C for trading even though one wasnt our fault.
Re: Ternt D-L for pick 47
TDL. Why? We already have a plethora of small half forwards. Would rather this one had been thrown at WCE for Brown.

Yeah I'm not sure why this was done. We've got Milne, Schneider, Saad, Milera and Minchington already, and realistically there's only room for three at any given time.

Re: Ternt D-L for pick 47
EDIT: Whilst I still wonder why we picked him up, now that we have swapped Cripps + #46 for #41 and #44 I can see that giving up #47 didn't matter as we wouldn't have used it. must be that the Saints WA boys think that TDL could become a better player than Milera, Saad, Minchington

Re: Ternt D-L for pick 47
there are some saying on FB that we have done this because Terry Milera has walked on the club (back to Port Adelaide).
I would be devasted if true but havent heard anything about us re-signing him? Potentially he may have walked on AFL altogether otherwise

Wouldnt he have a 2 year contract? Sounds like rubbish to me.
Re: Ternt D-L for pick 47
There was speculation about Milera being a possibility to go back to Port prior to the trade period. But surely if it had any legs he would have gone for one of Port's 2nd rounders - or an upgrade at least.plugger66 wrote:MC Gusto wrote:there are some saying on FB that we have done this because Terry Milera has walked on the club (back to Port Adelaide).

I hope that this isn't true... as much for the lad as for us.

Re: Ternt D-L for pick 47
Very bizarre to give up pick 47 for a guy we could have surely landed for about pick 87.
Not a bad player, plenty of talent, but we're just overloaded with small forwards now.
Not sure why the deal was done IMO.

Pretty sure we will only use the 4 picks (25,25,41,44).evertonfc wrote:Very bizarre to give up pick 47 for a guy we could have surely landed for about pick 87.

Re: Ternt D-L for pick 47
just confirmed that Milera did want to go home (or his GF) did - but unlike Cripps told teh club only if a fair deal could be done. Port didn't offer anything up (didnt want him) so he has told teh club he will stay

Re: Ternt D-L for pick 47
Realistically as berholdt put it in another thread:evertonfc wrote:Very bizarre to give up pick 47 for a guy we could have surely landed for about pick 87.
We will probably only use those first four picks. So all this means is that we have a chance to upgrade a rookie with 77 rather than the 47 we gave up. Means nothing unless we were going to actually draft a player at 47 and there simply isn't enougfh room on our list to do so.bergholt wrote:Round one: zero picks
Round two: 25, 26, 41, 44
Round three: zero picks
Round four: 77
Round five: 95
So most likely we'll use all four second round picks, 77 will be used on upgrading Dunell and that'll be it?

Re: Ternt D-L for pick 47
Maybe the 'List People' view him as a 'like for like' with Cripps?
In which case they have ended up with someone they view as a similar player to one they were going to lose and upgraded our pick by a couple of spots.

I know TDL's father was Burmese, he is the same or similar size to Jack steven, and has been on Sydney's list for a couple of years and has only played a handful of games. What else do we know about him?
