Hickey & picks 26 & 47 for picks 13, 37 & 57.

Brian from BF St Kilda board broke the news. Not in the media yet.

Let's hope he is the new Dean Cox. Let's get back in the draft with lower picks.

Not a great move IMO. Pick 13 shouldnt be let go for an unproven ruckman. Got to say we have punted our future this trade period. If it comes off it sets us up in a few years. if it doesnt we will be down for even longer than I originally thought. Surely GC are laughing at us now. Pelchan and his crew have lost BJ and pick 12 for Lee, Hickey and 25 and 26. Huge price to pay.

well, pretty big price to pay....

very surprised... but we still have some decent picks left i guess... 1st two of the second round... or there abouts, so hopefully will be something decent there for us to grab.

do you think they will offer 25, 26 and crippa for brown?

May as well. It seems they dont trust the recruiters or dont rate the top draft picks.

Saw Hickey in a game last season and thought that the Suns had a superstar in the making. Remember thinking that we didn't have anyone like that on the horizon. Can't remember what game it was, but he was everywhere.

If he develops consistency, we will do very well indeed.

It's got to be bulls***, otherwise we've seriously over estimated Pelchen as a recruiting guru!!!

Seriously pissed if it's the case!!!

Apparently Collingwood offered pick 18 for him so I think they have done really well again ! Obviously they didn't think that pick 13 would be involved in the Brown trade if it occurs. Well done Saints!

We probably need to await the official announcement prior to getting too excited one way or the other.

I must admit pick 13 isn't something I would have giving up for him. Having said that, I've always said I would back our experts and there's no reason for me to change now.

So if they've signed off on this deal then as far as I'm concerned it must be good.

Wow, this kid better be the messiah, or I'll burn my membership....

Something tells me this could mean Ray will go for draft picks.....

although we could still do Ray to Melb for Martin & 49, then send Martin and 37 to Bris for pick 24.

Some supporters will overate anything, as long as they are employed by the club. I had my reservations about Pelchen, and nothing so far has put those reservations to rest.

We really don't like hanging on to first round picks...and trading them isn't something that has worked for us in the past.

I hope Lee and Hickey are more successful than Brooks, Watts and Lovett.

I guess the offer to WC will now be something like Cripps, Pick 25 and 46 for Brown and 62

Suggestion from Brian on BF is that the Pies offered pick 20 and GC gave us first right of refusal.

So you didnt rate the Ross, Saad and Milera for a 5 position drop in the draft last year then??

Or did you forget and think Ross orchestrated that one?

He's usually on the money. He posted the Tom Lee trade prior to the announcement.
