That's the new rumour. Hickey offered more at Pies and Pies are offering pick 20 or whatever it is.Teflon wrote:Pies with 21 would be a worry..

If he goes to the Pies, I blame the Saints for not getting the deal done earlier.Teflon wrote:Pies with 21 would be a worry..

Re: Hickey
Get it done - but don't pay overs. If we were to pay overs I'm happy to load up in the draft. He's promising but nothing special yet.

Even if GC wanted to wait until next week. Yep pathetic saints. Should have threatened court action.

Re: Hickey
Why would Collingwood be interested in Hickey? They have a heap of ruckmen on their list, unlike us.
Re: Hickey
This is the key problem with free agency as it is currently constructed. We have bad to sit on our hands because we lost a big fish early on.

Sorry but what has that to do with what i said? Deals were done because the clubs now who is interested in players and who isnt. They arent going to dud themselves of better picks if clubs that are interested are waiting on comp picks or other information.
Re: Hickey
yeah it is quiet funny that when other players nominate other clubs that you never here of another club chasing as well. seems like it only happens to us. Does that make sense?

Well I'm greatly disappointed and upset by our Recruitment Team failing to understand and adopt the whole principle of panicking.
Surely it can't be that hard?
C'mon lads; grab us someone.....anyone!!!!

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: Hickey
COLLINGWOOD appears unlikely to recruit Hawthorn free agent Clinton Young with the Magpies declaring they're "done and dusted" following Chris Dawes' trade to Melbourne.
Asked on Wednesday morning if the Pies still had Young in their sights during Gillette AFL Trade Period, Collingwood director of football Geoff Walsh said he considered their player movement finished. From afl.com
Don't believe any thing that comes out of Collingwood.

So your saying we should offer Sam Fisher, Dal Santo and our first 2 picks to sweeten the deal ? What if it's not enough? he is like a 7 foot tall Chris Judd mixed with some Buddy and Adam Goodes. He must be pretty awesome, he is worth more than Goddard.

Re: Hickey
Pretty easy decision for Hickey
Collingwood : heaps of ruck men
Saints: 1 ruckman and a few pinch hitters
