No but I've tried over the years (not now) and failed. Most girls I have gone out with haven't been into footy. My wife is a professional classical musician and apart from wanting me to be happy has no interest. She used to come to some games with me but not now. My GF before that wasn't interested either and never came at all. In fact she was very snobby about it and hated footy. I think she hated me too.
Holder of unacceptable views and other thought crimes.

As ex-president Peter Summers said:

I'm a Saints supporting lady in my late 20s and I've yet to pick up or be picked up at a game. I would say that is mainly because we are all watching the field and not the stands.
I must admit, on the train ride to and from the game there has been some Sainter eye candy though!

Re: Has anyone ever picked up at a Footy match?
No, but my partner now of 23 years, on her first trip to visit me in Melbourne, climbed off the all-night bus from Brisbane, was whisked into the car and driven straight to Waverley, to watch the Mighty Saints get slaughtered by Collingwood in an afternoon of non-stop freezing horizontal rain.
Worked like a charm.

Re: Has anyone ever picked up at a Footy match?
Many years ago, at Moorabbin, when there were still reserves games and you had time before the main game to put in the ground work... Very attractive young blonde lady in figure hugging jeans and a denim jacket. That was the one and only time. She had an older relative like an auntie or something with her who was clearly very suspicious of me (as she should have been). Ahhh, young lust....
I don't recall watching much of the game that day.....

Stretch Faberges by any chance? They were de rigueur for the young ladies at Moorabbin if my memory serves me correctly...True Believer wrote:Many years ago, at Moorabbin, when there were still reserves games and you had time before the main game to put in the ground work... I'd have no chance of EVER picking up at the footy. The football is where I dress like a dag (track pants, baseball jacket and a scarf) and don't exactly behave like a gentleman.

Sensational (apart from the result of the game) but great consolation prize. Grief is a real aphrodisiac (see Will Ferrel in Wedding Crashers)saintsrus wrote:1997 Grand final, went by myself Afl members, a hot girl sat next to me, we talked for a while, and i asked her if she was going to Moorabbin if we won, she said she would like to but didnt have anyone to go with.
