Re: Rumour Thread
I think you've listed possibly two of the best fullbacks of recent history WW, not sure they come along all that often.
Can think of plenty of games this year we would of probably one if we'd had one, it's that simple. Guys like Hawkins, Franklin, Cox etc all rubbed their hands together when they walked out v us.

Dr Spaceman wrote:People say that "so and so" could play Full Back apart from when there's a Gorilla Forward on the other team. Then we need a Monster Backman.
So what happens when we line up against an opponent who doesn't have a Gorilla on the field? Does our Monster have to go back to Sandy?
With all this talk about 3 year contracts and giving up Draft Picks I hope whoever we get is someone who we name 22 games a year (plus finals )
Not just someone we dust off as required.
Yeah, we need to recruit a Gorilla and a Monster in this draft. Keep them in separate cages - Gorillas are herbivorous. Monsters not so much. Then apply for salary cap relief.

Hope the trend continues when Sydney off load players to the Saints...evo wrote:From BigFooty rumour only: Swan Trent Dennis-Lane will head to saints tomorrow for a medical and should be traded by end of the week
Re: Rumour Thread
Serious? A lightly-built 181cm 24 year old who's only ever played as a small forward at AFL level and never kicked many goals even doing that?evo wrote:From BigFooty rumour only: Swan Trent Dennis-Lane will head to saints tomorrow for a medical and should be traded by end of the week
I guess all you need these days to sign for St Kilda is a West Aussie driver's licence.

Dunno how good he is, but if it's more than a fourth round pick it sounds like overpaying.matrix wrote:who in the blue hell is trent dennis lane?

I always try to speak to people who see these players constantly. I have a few Swans mates and they dont rate this guy. Hope they are wrong but cant see the value. He really just plays forward. Doesnt address the on ball stuff. With some names mentioned maybe we are building Sandy into a top 4 side.

Why because of a highlights clip.

Re: Rumour Thread
From the swans we want Jesse White - a monster back in the making - I am about the same size as trent dennis lane and have kicked a bag of goals in the back yard but i think the saints small forward brigade might just have me covered for a spot on our list

Re: Rumour Thread
Well the starting point is that it's just a rumour and as such you'd have to think it's probably crap.bergholt wrote:Dunno how good he is, but if it's more than a fourth round pick it sounds like overpaying.matrix wrote:who in the blue hell is trent dennis lane?

But if there is any truth to it you'd have to think it would be part of a player swap. The last thing we need at the moment is to fill more spots on our list in the lead up to the Draft.
Maybe there's something going on behind the scenes. Perhaps Trent Dennis and a pick for a Schneider looking to go home to the Swans?
Most likely though it's crap.

Dennis-Lane is a first name?plugger66 wrote:We do need a player with 2 first names though.
Besides, i think Jack Steven has him covered anyway. Or Rhys, or Tom Lee

We have no one with 2 first names that is actually a last name as well as another last name. And if you understand that can you explain pi to me.
