Cale Hooker?
I think we should look at Cale Hooker. We have no chance of getting Brown according to reports.
Comparison with Mitch Brown below.
Cale Hooker (ESS). DOB - 13/10/88. H - 196cm, W - 97kg. 66 games. Avg - 15 Disp, 4.7 Marks 2.1 Tackles.
Mitch Brown (WCE). DOB - 17/12/88. H - 195cm, W - 94kg. 51 games. Avg - 12.5 Disp, 3.7 Marks, 1.5 Tackles.
From what I've seen of Hooker he hasn't been that bad. He played 17 of 22 games this year. Thoughts?

I don't know anything about him, but on the face of it he seems like a reasonable option - good size, good age. Why aren't other clubs flocking around him, though?

I don't know anything about him either. But my first question would be "is he even on the table?"bergholt wrote:I don't know anything about him, but on the face of it he seems like a reasonable option - good size, good age. Why aren't other clubs flocking around him, though?
Re: Cale Hooker?
I'm pretty sure Hooker is one of the the Bombers players still without a contract and part of the collateral damage left by the Goddard signing.
If he was cheap, why not? He may end up a spud, he may end up being ok. He certainly has the potential and worth a shot if the price is right IMO.
One things for sure, we need to look at many options and not put all our eggs into the one basket. I assume the club have a plan B and C cos it looks like Mitch Brown is well and truly off the table, if he were ever on it.

Contracted. Would be let go for the right price. That price is more than St Kilda will pay I imagine.
