Danny wore 2.
Don't know if Sipposs would give it up!
Why should he? Give him 18.
Frawley would be a great great get.

A bit harsh - I haven't seen any bagging from "spud" - some criticism but no bagging. No one would be in any doubt knowing where his allegiance lies. A great Sainter is Danny Frawley.

I don't enter many negotiations, but when I do, I enter them with ridiculous offers.
Still, imagine our current midfield bolstered by Dangerfield and Sloane? We wouldn't need any rucks or tall forwards, that on its own would be enough for a top four finish.
Those 2 would suit the Saints down to the ground!! I left out Dangerfield and Tippett, as they would not fit in with the new 'Team First' policy - would not be able to pay them enough, supposedly $600K +..........
I think you could argue we could come out of it with a net gain in team performance if we got Frawley for BJ's pick.
We suffered badly at full back all year (with due credit going to Simpkin). Bj's loss would be overcome more easily than another year down back like we had.

Yep, agreed - I can't see us getting him though.
I just don't understand why Melbourne would part with him unless absolutely forced to. He's 24 and an All Australian. Frawley, Tom McDonald, Garland and Grimes are the foundation of a high quality back six which should last Melbourne for the next five years at least. Why would they break that up unless it was for a massive price? If I was them, I'd ask for pick 12 and pick 34, or pick 12 and someone like Ledger or Dunell. I'm not sure that would be a price we should stretch to afford.

Looks GREAT doesn't it Solar !
Then Watters can have a decent crack at getting the defensive unit tight like Saints 09/10 or Pies 10. It would have been difficult this year missing that KPD.
He has already improved our scoring ability. If we get the back half working right it'll be looking good.

Maybe pick 13 & Farren for Frawley & second rounder? I want Frawley a lot, but pick 13 for just Frawley or just Caddy seems a lot... maybe Moloney wont end up anywhere in FA but be part of a trade... he has quit Melbourne after all...
Strength through Loyalty
Go those mighty Sainters!!
From another angle I think it'd be great to have a player (especially of his ability) WANT to come to our club because of family ties and the link with Ballarat.
Maybe I'm being presumptuous there but it must be part of the reason.
We need to build a club where people want to stay for other reasons than money.
