I don't enter many negotiations, but when I do, I enter them with ridiculous offers.
Still, imagine our current midfield bolstered by Dangerfield and Sloane? We wouldn't need any rucks or tall forwards, that on its own would be enough for a top four finish.

"Just heard Saints have been in talks with an All Australian Defender, He is contracted to current club and wants out if saints get him"
Recent All Australian Defenders
Ben Reid - extremely unlikely
Ted Richards - no chance
Darren Glass - no chance
Grant Birchall - doubtful
Harry Taylor - unlikely
Brian Lake - too old
Corey Enright - too old
James Frawley - best guess

"We've had interest from elsewhere . . . but not at this stage," Pelchen said of any trade move.
Veteran Jason Blake is also waiting to see how the trade period shakes out.
Blake is keen to go on, and the club will make a late call.
That marries up with reports of Faz meeting with the Demons I guess
Personally I cannot understand why Ray was so much on the outer with Watters. Most games he played, he played very well IMO. But was clearly on the outer this season.
When quizzed on it at one game when he was not playing.....he clearly did not wish to pot the coaches, and did not. But his eyes and body language said it all.
So while I personally would be disappointed to lose him, it would not surprise me at all if the Saints traded him.
Flying the World in comfort thanks to FF Points....

Frawley, wow! That would be one hell of a get if it were true and you would think we wouldn't be alone in wanting him unless we played some 'I'm only going to St Kilda' games. You would have to wonder what it would cost, Farren and pick....

Go those mighty Sainters!!

I think you'll find it's Mitch Brown from WC fellas
He'd be the reason Melbourne lose by an avg of 10 goals instead of 15! Frawley is what we need, in terms of a mature, strong, quality backman. Unsure of his specifics but can hold his own vs the gorillas. Dees would fight to keep him though.
Mitch Brown wasnt AA though was he?

would we be happy to use pick 12 and 13 maybe a player or two to sweeten deal on frawerly and caddy. I would go all out on frawerly i no nothing of caddy, but sounds ok.
Or do we take punt in draft
Has played 21, 21 and 19 matches in the past 3 seasons, so I would say his durability is pretty good (tick).
He has the strength of body (95kg) to play on the bigger opposition forwards. He kept Hawkins to 1 goal this year for example (tick).
Max Hudghton and Scott Watters are among the best developers of key defenders in footy - look at what they did at Collingwood. So Frawley will likely improve some more under their tutelage, particularly coming from Melbourne (tick).
Is he worth a first round selection?
IMO yes.
Probably not much more though ... I don't think we would have to give a player also (e.g. Ray). If we did, I would be looking at a 2nd round pick in return.
One of the few that is worth our first pick.. Would be an enormous get, and would ease the loss of BJ greatly.. Pretty much the perfect player for us..
Uncle Danny isn't the most warm and fuzzy guy and always bags the saints but maybe he has left his legacy in the fact that Frawley wants to wear his uncles jumper. What number did Danny play in again? Might be time to shift someone.

22 yr old Nth Ballarat boy Dean Towers who at 189cm is a midfielder, did his chances no harm by creating a new record of 85 cm for the standing jump yesterday at the Draft Camp.
