TBH, Essendon is my most hated team in the competition even before they got BJ...yes I hate them more then Collingwood and Carlton.

Their players are arrogant, their supporters are band wagoners, every year we hear the same excuses...if we don't get so many injuries we will make top 4, guess what Essendon every bloody team has to deal with injuries!!!

They seem to think they are top sh*t and the truth is they are a mediocre side at best .....f**k i hate them.

Paying this sort of dough for Goddard has got to be demoralising for the other experienced guys at Essendon; this will have a really negative effect on that club, mark my words. They will implode over the next couple of years trying to buy their way to a flag, Hird will be shown the door at some stage (he can't coach) and the karma police will have the last laugh.

This is a totally different case to GC where they paid Ablett shiploads of money to get him over; the guy is an out and out champion and I think the general consensus was that he deserved every cent he was going to be paid; unfortunately I don't think that's the case with our BJ (ah, sorry Essendon's BJ).

I think you will find this is the reason they got BJ. They don't have experienced players or players worth the $$$$ they were getting.

Every club has to pay 90+% of the Salary Cap so quite a few players there have been being paid over their worth. Now they'll get rid of the dead wood and be paying top dollars to one of our stars (a number ONE pick at that).
