Buses
Well Blakey, not long to go now. I reckon at about 9.55 on Monday evening you will have received your much rewarded first Brownlow votes. I for one will be watching and I will crack a beer and toast you for the great clubman you are. Never has a vote been deserved so much.

Re: Buses
I put a little bet on him to poll a vote. Was paying $2.20 to do so

Re: Buses
Blakey? You on the buses?
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Re: Buses
A sad day.
That was a record that should have stood for all time.
As a StKilda record.
Now it becomes a North Melbourne record held by non-entities Ross Henchaw and Shannon Watt with just the miserable 150 games each.

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

Despite giving up 12cm to Suns opponent Tom Hickey, Blake notched 28 hit-outs to ensure his side comfortably won in the ruck.
He backed that up with 21 disposals, eight tackles and a goal, to earn two votes as the game's second-best player.
There had been expectations he might break his Brownlow duck two rounds earlier, when he also had a big game in the ruck in a win over the Sydney Swans, but he was kept waiting.
Blake played only two more games after the Suns clash before injury brought an early end to his season.
The St Kilda veteran's Brownlow breakthrough came more than two years after he had moved to the top of the table for the most games without a vote.
North Melbourne defender Ross Henshaw, who played 167 vote-less matches in the 1970s and 1980s, had previously held the record, with Blake surpassing that mark by 42 matches before finally polling.

maybe we shouldn't sign hickey - we already have the superior model, apparently.saintbrat wrote:Despite giving up 12cm to Suns opponent Tom Hickey, Blake notched 28 hit-outs to ensure his side comfortably won in the ruck.
