Flight watch - Melbourne to Wellington

Cheapest I have found for leaving on Thursday morning (getting to Wellington 2:20pm) and coming back Sunday is $277.00 per adult.

Anyone know of better?

I can see why the NZ government would be happy about this deal… thousands of Australians spending 3-5 days there with food, accommodation, entertainment… at a time of year that tourism would be very low.

I would snap up any cheap flights now if you see them, the cheap ones will sell out pretty early I would think.

heard last night how cheap fares are offered to WA supporters to come to Melbourne. the airlines may do deals with accommodation etc to get more people over with special packages.

STKFC said in their announcement details will be out in the coming weeks. You may get better, stay tuned.

Sometimes it worth the night's accomodation so you get the extra day to spend there. If you get there on the Thursday then most of the day is wasted in the air.

If I go I'll attend the ANZAC Dawn Service in Wellington, check out the city during the day, go to the game, get frothed afterwards then get the ferry across to the South Island the next morning & spend a few days smashing wineries. Fly out of Christchurch home.

If the club had any brains they'd be engaging a travel company , so package deals could be done for club members that would actually be better value for money than what individuals could find themselves . That way all parties involved would get something out of it .
I like the idea of the club making money but playing on a ground that will probably be more likely to favour the swans , we'd want to be getting plenty out of it .

with specials for the 25,26,27 April- around $209 each way..

virgin have an early flight 25th- special at $189
