It took him a few years to establish himself because I can remember thinking that he needed to lift his game or he would be sent on his way.

Just a reminder that players can take a few years to find their feet and you can't afford to expect too much too soon.

I remember being excited about him after he was first recruited. There was even something about the sound of his name that gave us hope.
