Re: Jordan Russell
Short answer - no way.
Very ordinary footballer in my opinion. Don't think he is actually quick, average skills and dodgy decision maker.
I think the best game of his entire career was one of the recent rare occasions upon which Carlton flogged us. I knew we were in for a bad time of it when this bloke was getting a lot of it.

Re: Jordan Russell
If raph goes and with Polo and Peak out the door we may need a new whipping boy. Could fill that role nicely.
Re: Jordan Russell
If we lose Goddard then definitely no cos that would mean the difference between getting a first round draft pick and a second or third rounder.

How many halfbacks do we need.fugazi wrote:Free agent..25 years old........attacking half back, good pace? Anyone interested?
I think that if Goddard stays and Siposs continues to improve then we have the most attacking half-back line in the comp.
Ho and Fisher being released a little from playing full-back cough Troy Chaplin cough.

Re: Jordan Russell
A reasonably pick at 25. I thought he was older.
He was Carlscums runner up in their best player count in 2010. Had an ordinary season in 2011 and 2012.
Talking Carlton discussion has previously been divided on his inclusion to the side at times. Depends on the dollars wanted and exchanged in other deals IMO.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.
You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency
