Great news!
Arguably the youngster with the most promise. Central to our future.

Re: Siposs re-signs for 3 years
I started to worry when he wasn't putting pen to paper. they should have signed him in march and his contract would have been peanuts. He is a future superstar and is great to have locked away.
Re: Siposs re-signs for 3 years
interesting comments by the coach in that article...
"
Watters also stated he was optimistic restricted free agent Brendon Goddard would continue playing on with the Saints.
“I’m confident and really optimistic. He’s a really committed Saints person. It’s a challenging time for Brendon,” Watters said.
“It’s a different situation that AFL players haven’t been used to or exposed to. It’s an unenviable position in many ways but I believe he will be at this football club.”
Despite the discomfort the situation may cause, the first year coach stated he supported Goddard’s decision to test the waters.
“We think we’ve put a really strong offer to Brendon. His importance to the club going forward; he’s integral to it.”
“But under the new system he has an opportunity to test the market so it’s irrelevant whether I like it or not that’s the situation and I support the whole concept. But it can be awkward sitting there as a coach whilst you’re within that concept as well.”

Re: Siposs re-signs for 3 years
Don't know why I am not as excited by Siposs as everyone else at this stage. Love his kicking obviously, just haven't seen enough other stuff yet to get too worked up. Hope he does become a star though.
Re: Siposs re-signs for 3 years
So you would be happy for the club to rip off a player, make him disgruntled, and in three years when he is probably a regular seniors player, look at leaving the club?gringo wrote:I started to worry when he wasn't putting pen to paper. they should have signed him in march and his contract would have been peanuts. Or make him unhappy with his "peanuts" and never reach his potential?
Lance or James??

Needs a big pre season. He will eventually be played off the half back line setting up the play. Basically what BJ does now.

Re: Siposs re-signs for 3 years
Great news, a very promising youngster signed up. One of the best late picks for a long time. I reckon he has grown a bit also.....
Still hoping Goddard signs up as well.

Didn't say rip him off just not pay overs on potential rather than performance. I hope he gets good coin just not more than he would have as a developing player, not a lock in yet. I'm still glad we put him away for 3 years, his next contract should break the bank.

Fair Enough. Would hope that he is on the coin he deserves, which shouldn't be excessive in this contract.
I do like the fact that his family were mad Saints fans and a fan is living the dream of playing for his club.
Kid can play a bit as well. Seems to have grown and has bulked up a bit this season.

Re: Siposs re-signs for 3 years
His game (I know it was against GWS) off half-back was brilliant.
Such a terrific user of the ball, very much like BJ in that regard.
He has presence about him and uses his size well. Going to be a very good player for us, and he is a Saint through-and-through
