I have fear.
That after the rollicking that Mark MacClure and Robert Walls gave the Carlton players this week, their pride will be badly wounded, and they will come out like bats out of hell against us Sunday.
Good thing it means nothing.
Still worried.

I thought you were talking about getting rid of Ratten. I agree their performance was a disgrace.
Re: I have fear.
Don't know if it's the right or wrong decision to get rid of Ratten, they certainly had injury affect their KPP stocks.
Certainly not convinced Mick is the answer, will it be the answer or have a bit of the Blight/Saints about it.

Nothing like Blight and the Saints. MM missed one year and didnt even want to miss that. Blight had no interest in coaching but plenty of interest in a million dollars. MM is a great coach. Hope he isnt to great for the Blues but seems the right decision to me.

Hopefully our pride is greater than theirs.
I also hope malthouse holds out for eye-watering money and turns out to be another pagan/blight.
And sometimes I almost like eddie....

McGuire said he wanted to find out how the Visy deal worked.
"Carlton are obviously doing things a lot better than us, so we better go and find out how it works and then get the same thing," he said.
"But it would be very hard for me to hire Clokey to work for McGuire Media unlike Dick Pratt who was able to hire Juddy for Visy, because they changed the rules. It's unfortunate isn't it."

Be a good get in MM. Despise Carlton with a passion, but getting MM would the the right decision.

Trying to visualise Carlton playing the boundary, and applying a heavy forward press.
Not sure I can.
Will be a miracle worker if he can get the players to buy in to that kind of work ethic.

Well every club plays the boundary and every club should have a forward press so maybe that is their problem. Also you are really just making MM to be a one trick pony. Footy changes every year so he may play diferently next year.

MM might be a great coach, but it still took 10 years at collingwood before he won one.

Re: I have fear.
Regardless of who is coaching them , Carlton should be favourites for sunday as watters will probably play the same side as last week . Our kids did well against Gws but Carlton's experienced mid-field should be too strong for ours . Thats why i'm excited about going on sunday , to see how our kids go against judd gibbs caratzo murphy mclean and co .

..yes, because with he and cloke and judd killing the salary cap it will send carlton back to the bottom of the ladder for another decade.

They are demoralized and beaten. We are full of chipper. We'll thump 'em.

I won't be too disappointed if we lose this game. It would be a little reminder of exactly where we are at which will be a good thing. Think we'll win anyway.
