Seems easy enough, any rich Saint fan could arrange for free renovations for BJ's family's home in Gippsland maybe? In every single industry, stuff is done under the table.
Could you imagine Goddard tweeting to say he had some nice new doors and windows sitting in his driveway.

Stewie Loewe used to own a building company, building sheds and patios. Just a suggestion?

I think I've got a patio over my tool shed.

I think it's only a 9 hole golf course. If so why would he want to play there?

Probably the same guy that tweeted as "Lyon" after the Cats game.

BJ loves his golf too much to come over here. There are far better course on the east cost and the competition would be better quality as well.

plugger66 wrote:Heard yesterday from reasonably credible source that the Saints want BJ to go because of the money we have to pay him. The problem is they want him to go to GWS but tat doesnt look likely. Freo are huge favourites and because of that we may actually now try to keep him. That will mean though we cant participate in free agency because of salary cap constraints. If they keep BJ and they havent signed Joey then he may be the one who has to go.
interesting..

I wonder why they don't play championships there if it's such a renowned course

4. Goddard's travels.

He wants to stay; the Saints want him to say and am hearing it's the length of the contract that has stalled talks. Money is also an issue -- it is rumoured they are $100,000-$150,000 apart but that can be worked out. Goddard wants a four-year deal, and the Saints are keen on giving him three. It might not be of interest, but spoke to Nick Riewoldt last week and he is confident Goddard will stay. Goddard is in Riewoldt's October wedding party, so the two are very close. If anyone is to be squeezed out, it could be Nick Dal Santo.

Dal Santo ????? FFS they have rocks in their head if so

First up he's probable THE best user of the ball in congestion THE best decision maker in the side and wins FAR more contested ball than Goddard and hardly misses a game.

Honestly, if ball use and decision making criteria are key then you keep Dal/Goddard and offload Montagna.

Losing Dal Santo IMO is crazy.

Fair bit of artistic license saying Dal Santo may be tipped out, he's not even out of contract.

If anything it would be Joey, apparently he wants a 2 year contract and the club are only putting up a 1 year, which is a bit rough I reckon… had a very good year in the end, despite all the hate on here.

I'M with you Tef. Dal is the most important player on the list. Weather we are re-building, re-tooling, treading water or doing a Sydney, we need him in a St Kilda jumper.

Dal is the man for me also.
Just think he is the man to lead the kids for the next 3 years while we re-build. Just consistent on and off field.
